Hey Croix Man,
Hope you had fun - I see they smacked the Padres on Tuesday and are on a roll...always just a matter of time it seems.
I'm going to my first (and last) game at Yankee Stadium next month...but that's not bad for a Red Sox fan. My future brother in law got tix for his old man for Father's Day and asked if I wanted to go.
They weren't sure onnacounta me being a Red Sox fan I'm supposed to hate the Yankees and all. Sure, I'll "hate" the Yankees, as required, but I'm also a huge fan of the sport and I do respect the talent the Yankees field most years AND I do realize what a shrine to the sport the House that Ruth built is... So I'm looking forward to it.
ON the other hand, I'm going to my last game at Shea in September. I do consider myself a closet-Mets fan... after all, they are the local NL franchise to me, a Rhode Islander, and while they may be from NY, they're not the Yankees. Oh yeah, plus my girl grew up in Queens as a Mets fan - - - she'll be going to that game with me to say goodbye to Shea.
