| Like my quote says "Size is just a number in a tag" Every manufacturers size guideline is different. In somethings I am an eight and in others I am a sixteen.

| You shouldn't go by dresses I am a bridesmaid X 2 this year and one dress is a size 12 and one is a size 8.

Don't worry about the size of the dress. It's pretty common that they run 2 sizes smaller. The number on the tag doesn't change your body, so it shouldn't change the way that you feel about your body! Be proud of how far you have come and don't worry about a dumb number.
You should pick the style of dress that you like for your bridesmaids and maid of honor. I'm sure you'll keep their comfort in mind. Tell your MOH's mother that you will choose something that will make everyone's day enjoyable. It's your day!!

I understand that no one wants to wear an unflattering dress. With that in mind, I would think you could meet in the middle, finding something you like and something that fits her well.
As for it being your maid of honors mother... Oh my. Be conscience of her concerns but pick out a dress YOU like and are happy with. Same color as your moms, just say no.

It's your wedding. You should consider what your mom has to tell you out of courtesy but by no means let her make the final call.
It's one day and it's your day. Your wedding party should be able to handle something of your choosing, whether they like it or not, for you.
Can you sit down with your mother and tell her how you really feel? And that you would appreciate if she supported your decisions.

ok, i kno wht ati am probably complaining and thinking way to much into this. but ok few things. a. i feel like a fat cow. my moh and i went to go try on dresses this past monday at db *the person who helped us was very very nice which is unusual for them*. and anywhoo i am upset with myself because when i tried on a dress at elite bride i was a size eight the lady told me. BUT when i tried on dresses there, the lady said i was a size 12! (mabe ts bc of my dang chest i am small everywhere else) i havent been a 12 since like 2000-2001. i am disgusted bc i told myself i would never never get back into that....plus maybe it was bc of the slip thingy she had me where. nex ttime ill try it with just the bottom slip no bra......that has me disgusted.....and the second thing is i am not upset but idk how to describe it but my moh mom is trying to tell me what type fo bridesmad moh dress for my moh and her neice bc she is in the weddin too to where. they are both heavy. and she had picked out *mymoh( these ugly like pant dresses. its the right color that i want dark blue. but its like ok there go4es my whole country western theme. can you still where white boots under it? so i guess its going to be two different style drsses..... well 2 bmaid dresses in light silver and 2 dress o paint outfits. i mean i want them to be comfortable. and she was like i ant paying no 400 for a bmaid dress bc shell have to pay for hers and prob. moh. and the ones i seen online at db were under 200. idk i am just furstated. and stupid me since i am a PEOPLE PLEASER i said fine sure..... i just feel like my whole wedding day is going to be ruined. am i being to pushy, to bossy? the dresses well two wedding dresses i had in mind where one was all lace with i gess beads or something and the other had like a idk how u expl. lil ruffy bottom ill have to find them on the website. its had me up all night thinking about this stuff.
