| Holy cow!! I never thought about peeing in my wedding dress...I'm going to have to schedule bathroom breaks also!! By the way, when you first start drinking water, your body needs to expell all of the excess water that you're carrying (weight) and the only way to do that is to pee. I know it doesn't seem logical, but keep drinking, you'll notice a lot less peeing because your body won't be carrying all that extra water. Your body will realize you won't starve it of water anymore, so it won't carry it anymore.

| Can you imagine how difficult it will be peeing in a big old wedding dress? I can only imagine... I'm gonna have to practice the art beforehand.

| Peeing all the time because you are drinking a lot of water is not bad for you. In fact, sometimes you can tell you need to drink more because you didn't pee enough!

| I have the same issue--I drink lots of water but go to the bathroom at least once every couple of hours. I read in a magazine once that you can "train" your body to hold it longer. Do it for a week and see if you notice a difference. I definitely did that because getting up to pee in the middle of the night was disrupting an otherwise restful sleep! On my wedding day I scheduled the times I was gonna go to the bathroom and reminded my bridesmaids to be available to help me with my gown during those times. It worked and I only had to go twice! Good luck...

Did you always pee too much??
I have a condition called diabetes Insipidus (which is Not the Sugar Diabetes). My kidneys (for some unknown reason) produce too much urine and I'd pee All The Time! I was in a meeting with a lot of grey heads (I'm 52) and I was the one getting up Every hour to go do the restroom :-(
Now I take Desmopressin. It contains a hormone that works on the kidneys (not the bladder like the drugs recently advertised on TV). I have been taking it about two years and it has changed my life. Especially at night - I can go four or five hours before getting up to pee and before it was every hour!
So, (long story short ;;-) don't just assume that it is the increased water consumption that is causing your constant urination! If it continues, speak with your Dr.

| You've just gotta deal with it! That is by far the worst part of drinking a lot of water. To make it worse, the bathroom at my work is GROSS so I hate going there and have to go constantly with drinking so much water!

Peeing is a good sign your drinking enough water. When you pee you shed excess water weight and are flushing out the toxins within your body. And think of all the exercise your getting by having to get up and got to the bathroom. Don't give up and definatly, don't stop drinking water.

How long have you been drinking a lot of water? Maybe your bladder has not adjusted just yet.
But hey, at least when you have to pee all the time you are getting up from your desk and walking to the bathroom.
