i feel the same way. we are getting married on a cruise so we can only have 50 "non-sailing guests." i thought more people would take the cruise and less family would come. now it looks like just family, no friends from the "b list."

| The same thing is happening to me. We were aiming for 50, and are now up to 95. After excluding the people who probably won't com, we're at 75-80. We just figured, it's our only wedding, and we wouldn't want to make anyone feel bad or left out. I'm going to order enough things for all 95 just in case, because I would hate to be short. The exception is the caterer; the contract says they will have enough food to cover an addtional 5%, so I'll tell them my guest count accordingly. Oh, and don't forget the photographer and DJ/Band for the number of meals you need! Good luck!

Well if you can't afford for the single people to bring a guest then don't let them. Or if you feel as if you should let them bring a guest then you will have to see if there is another area in your wedding that you can trim to stay within your budget. I wouldn't order anything else until you know what your final head count will be.
Good Luck

| when we started planning our wedding, we were planning for 50 people at the most but when my guest list for the invitations went from35 going out to 46.. I thought i should count it up if every single person RSVPed and showed up and i got 92... then I subtracted the people I knew were not likely to make it and i got 74.... what the heck do i do now? I'm mailing my invites out April 1st and I can't cut anyone... I have not ordered anything that I wont have enough of but the leis and the things for the favors but does this mean I have to wait for all the RSVPs to come in to get anything else?
