That type of shawl is also made out of viscose. Which I believe to be a polyester type material.
You could also get her a shawl made out of satin, to match her dress.
If you got the satin one, you could get one with a pattern on it that matched the dress and the theme of the wedding.
Just make sure you get polyester satin, because they do make satin out of natural animal based products.

| Hi there. I bought my girls silver photo albums and pashmina shawls for bridesmaid's gifts. I just found out last night that my MOH is allergic to cashmere, wool, and most other animal-based textiles. I want to get her something special to wear for the ceremony, but I don't want it to be too expensive. I am on a budget. I'm really bummed because I was sure she'd love the shawl. Any suggestions?
