| Absolutely it's possible! A healthy weight loss is 1/2 to 2 lbs per week, so one pound a week is totally doable. Be sure not to deprive yourself completely but plan some treats into your eating plan so you won't binge, drink plenty of water and eat your fruits and veggies and you'll do fine.

VERY do-able. In fact, if I were you, I would attempt to lose the weight in about 8 months so that you have a month of maintaining before the wedding in which the final alterations on the dress can be done.
If you plan to try to lose all the way up to the wedding, I would suggest looking into wedding dresses that lace up the back... that way you have a little bit more flexibility in fit.

| Absolutely. At an average of 2 lbs per week in loss. You are looking at a time frame of 22 and 1/2 weeks. This allows for small fluctuations in schedule. This is very doable even in 6 months if one is highly modivated and strict. Good Luck!

| I would say 45 lbs in 9 months is very possible, if you stick with your routine and try your hardest. My step-mom has lost 50 lbs so far on Weight Watchers, and she's only been doing it for 5 months! I hope to lose 40-50 lbs. in 8 months, so it better be possible!

| correction, shoes you absolutely love! oops!

| I am attempting almost the same thing. It is just the matter of committing. But I agree with setting smaller goals, and rewarding yourself when you accomplish them, like getting a pair of shoes you absolutely loose. It does not hurt to set that high of a goal, so keep with it and with hard work I'm sure you can achieve it. Good luck!

| I am trying to lose about the same amount by the beginning of October. If I can do it, so can you! Believing it is possible and visualizing it was the first step for me. Using this website to really track what I am doing towards the goals helps it feel much more attainable. I have only been at this for about one week, but I really believe it can be done in a healthy way. I also agree with the last post, that you need to set smaller goals. Right now I am focusing on getting below 160 lbs again and how great I will feel when I reach that mark. Once I do, I will give myself a new goal. I am trying not to focus on how far I have to go, but taking it day by day and just trying to stay focused and on track for the week I am in.

if you go by the 2lbs a week than i think you will could make this goal, but focus on smaller goals frist, like say to start 10lbs by the May 10th. Something that you can accomplish and be proud of smaller goals.
