| Me and my dad are dancing to "I loved Her First." That song is so perfect for us. My dad and I are like best friends. After my parents got divorced and then again after my step-mom and dad got divorced, I took on the role of mother to my younger brothers and confidante to my dad. I can't wait for the father/daughter dance!

I made my dad a CD to pick from. The songs I put on it were:

"Father and Daughter"- Paul Simon
"My Wish"- Rascal Flatts
"I loved her first"- Hearland
"the way you look tonight"- Michael Buble
He picked "I loved her first"

| My dad and I are dancing to Neil Sadaka-Take Good Care of My Baby at my wedding. Seems fitting. Some other good choices are Amos Lee- Sweet Pea, Frank Sinatra- Dancing Cheek to Cheek and Frank Sinatra- The Way You Look Tonight.

| Chrisette Michelle is a new artist. Her CD is called "I Am" and there is a slow song on there where she talks about how much she loves her father in the past, present, and even after the man she marries takes her away. I can't think of the song. I love the whole CD and listen to it straight through all day.

Hello! This is my first forum post :)
I'm using "Father & Daughter" by Paul Simon for my F/D dance. The tempo is kind of strange but I love the lyrics.
There's also John Mayer's "Daughters" which I hear is becoming popular even though lyrically I don't know why.

I'm using It's a Wonderful World because it's my dad's fave - it makes him cry every time he hears it! But, some friends and I are writing some additional lyrics to personalize the song to my family and it will be recorded by one of my friends and played by the DJ. I can't wait to see my dad's reaction!
I don't have any grandfathers left, but do have a step-dad who is a big part of my life. Is there normally a separate song/dance for me to do with him?

| Can I get some ideas? The only two I know are Butterfly Kisses & I loved her first. Then my sister used Love of my Life by Brian McKnight (which is about his daughter actually). So I can't use that and then the other two I like them but hear them every other wedding and also I feel a little funny cuz I never had "freckles and ribbons and curls" like they mention in the songs!
