| I've been with my honey for 7.5 years we got engaged in Sept 2007 and will be married in fall of 2009.

| I have been with my fiancee for 6 1/2 yrs...we hae been "officially" engaged since April 2007, and getting married this June(14 month engagement). We have been living together for 4 yrs, and are already practically married!

Hi Amandalyn!
I've been with my FI since October 2002, He proposed this past July 2007, and we'll be married in October 2010. We did plan on a long engagement in order to accomplish things before we're married. Ditto on all the friends from high school! Everyday I hear another person got married or had a kid! hehe Good Luck!

| Hey! I just got engaged this past Christmas, and we arent getting married until October '09. We are both finishing our last semester of college right now, so anything before then would be crazy! Even though it is still far away im still having lots of fun planning! :)

| Same boat--we've been waiting until I finished grad school. We'll have been engaged for over 1.5 years by our wedding. It has been nice for me, because we've been able to plan leisurely and enjoy the excitement of the engagement part! Good luck and congrats!

| Our wedding date is May 2..on that day we will have been together for 5 yrs and engaged for 4. He proposed while we were in high school and we decided to wait bc we knew we were too young. I would have married him that day, but I'm glad we waited alittle bit. We are stable and have lived together for 3 yrs..i can't wait!!!

| We will have been engaged about a year about a half by the time we get married this June. When my fiance proposed, I was finishing my Master's and he was still finishing his bachelor's. In June he'll STILL be finishing his degree but at least we won't both be in school!

| I've had a long engagement too, not intentional but just the way it worked out. My fiancé is from another country, and deciding where we will live, where the wedding will be, how big the wedding will be has been a long process. Anyway we'll be getting married in the next year or so, and likely just a small civil-service ceremony. This will be my second marriage and his first, so I told him "yes, Dear, whatever you want..."

| We're waiting until 2010 or 2011, depending on when I finish graduate school. We got engaged before I got accepted, but decided we didn't want to do a long distance marriage. The longer we go, the more low key I want the wedding to be.

| We were engaged 2 years this past Christmas Eve. we didn't intent to have a long engagement, it just kinda happened that way

By the time our date rolls around we will have been engaged for just over two years.
He asked just as I had started my Master's. There was no way I was taking on the task of planning a wedding on top of that!
