You could also ask your step-dad if there is a song that makes him think of you. He might have one in mind that is special to him.

After checking out a lot of sites with father/daughter dance suggestions... I decided to go with a non traditional song that my dad and I liked a lot back in the day. I am going with Billy Joel's Lullaby(Goodnight my angel). Just go with what works for you... it is your day and you should choose something that is meaningful to you.

My father and I aren't really doing a father/daughter dance song in the traditional sense. I picked out a song that has sentimental meaning to us and the song isn't even about fathers and daughters. It just has to mean something to you and him not everyone else. I am sure that when you least expect it the perfect song will hit you.

If you are looking for a song to walk down the aisle too with your step dad, just use the bridal march or a love song.

Eaglecitizen, My daughter and I were on this forum earlier and I saw that you were having a problem with a song for the father daughter dance. My daughters step father is the one that was there for her and he did not have to do the things that he did for her. He is her father not her birth father that is way he is walking her down the isle. She had chosen the song by Brad Paisley He id not have to. It is a wonderful song that explains how she feels. Check it out it might work for you.. Have a wonderful day.

I have a (probably not so unique) situation. My father passed away when I was young and my mother remarried. My step-dad will walk me down the aisle. With this unique situation what song do I choose? I feel funny picking a "Father" song. To me a Father is the man who is biologically your father and dad is who raised you. For many people this is the same person!
