| I'm not sure, but I believe the next veil length after chapel is cathedral, of course you can probably find ones in between. I have a chapel length train on my dress and I will definitly be wearing a veil that extends past the dress... I think it looks so beautiful! The most important part is doing what makes you happy... if a longer veil makes you feel like a princess on your day than by all means do it!

Thanks so much...that's exactly what I thought (that the veil is usually longer).
Does anyone know if I have a chapel length train on my dress how long of a veil I should get? I'm trying to get a lot of things online to save money, so the downside is that I can't be there to try it on for length and things first.

I think it is the norm and style now a days for the viel to extend the lenghth of the train. In fact ... if you want a long chapel length veil, then I think it SHOULD be longer than the train.... or you should go with one that stops at your elbows or "fingertip lenghth. When all is said and done - it is YOUR day and YOUR way! Do what you want but I think it would be prettier if the viel were a little longer than the train.

My wedding dress has what I think is a chapel train. The train extends about 4 feet from the bottom of the dress.
I'd like a long veil, but most of them that I've seen extend beyond the train of the dress (although not by much. Maybe 4 inches). My mom and MOH say it doesn't look right for the veil to be longer than the train, but I swear I've seen people wear it that way. Who is right?
