You can do it if you put your mind to it and it sounds like you have. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I did weight watchers before and lost a lot of weight. I love the program because I can eat what I want..just in moderation. I officially started back on January 2. I'm doing the program on my own. My wedding is September 6. We plan to have kids right away so that is also motivation for me to lose weight.

Hi. I am getting married on October 4th (my second marriage) and I was on weight watchers. I went to the meetings and did great. I am doing it on my own now following the diet and doing the biggest loser and the firm workouts. It was nervous for me the first time going to the meetings, but it was rewarding to see the weight drop off. Unfortunately I started going and lost 51 lbs and then stress hit my life and gained most of it back. I just started 1/1/08 for the new year and want to reach that goal again and some more and never go back this time. Good luck and let us know how the weigh in went.

I am a 2009 bride..and I am on a weight watchers diet.. I have lot about 47+ pounds already. I'm starting out the year fresh in 2008 with a start weight of 225. I love WW it is awesome. I can eat what I want and stay within my points. I work out 5 days a week and I don't have to feel deprived of foods I love.

I'm a 2009 bride but I'm following Weight Watchers. I started at the end of October and am down 6.6lbs. I'm loving the results I'm getting and have finally realized that slow and steady wins the race in the end :)

I am a lifetime member- but still trying to lose 10 lbs before I get married. I love weight watchers because it taught me there is no "quick fix"- weight loss takes hard work and a lot of time. however, WW also taught me that I can eat anything I want- as long as I count it. It is a plan that I can live with. (I love bread, carbs. and sweets!)

My advice- give it a serious try for four weeks. I think your time frame is very reasonable, and you can discuss your goal with the leader. At first, you try to lose 10% of your body weight- which would be 16 lbs. This took me quite a while. Then you meet with the WW leader to discuss your goal. Good luck!

I am getting married 6/14/08 and I am definitely thinking about doing weight watchers. I tried it in the past for only 3 weeks but was having a hard time getting to the meetings. I would love to do it seriously this time. I am following the Buff Brides workout plan, but I would like to lose about 15-20 lbs and I think I need to pay more attention to what I eat and drink (wine)!!!

So I am a sept. 08 bride (sept 20th) and I have never tried weight watchers...I have some friends who do it and I know it works and want to try it myself too. However, I am on a budget esp since I am paying for a lot of the wedding and trying to save up and I am not going to spend money on another online diet thing so I am just going to do it myself. Anyone want a weight loss buddy/accountability partner etc? Or anyone want to help me out with the ww stuff? I have figured out I should have like 20 points a day with the normal 35 flex points a week.
So I am going to be coming here for inspiration and help!
Thanks ladies...happy wedding planning!

I am doing WW at home. I have been a memebet at meetings in the past, but my crazy life is too crazy right now to go to meetings. I am down about 4 pounds this week, as I am trying to get my act in gear. Oh, btw, we aren't getting married unitl May of 2009, but I would rather start now, and postpone dress shopping until a few of these unwanted pounds are off!

I just quit the online tools from weight watchers last night. I have lost 32 pounds on weight watchers to date, but I feel that it isn't worth paying the money when I can do pretty much the same thing on here for free. I am getting married in June of 2008, and I still have 39 pounds to lose before the big day.

That is great! I did weight watchers a few years back and had success. With work, I gained my weight back. So now I'm doing it on my own. I've done it so much I don't want to spend money just to go to the meetings, but the meetings are very helpful when starting.

I'm a Sept 2008 bride and I know I can do this.

I am getting married in Aug. 2008 and I just started weight watchers 2 weeks (almost) ago. I am doing the Flex Plan. Its too hard to just pick from a certain group of foods but over the week I have learned alot on how to make my food a regular serving size and larger yet the points are really good and decent. So far the first week I lost 4.6 pounds. And the meetings are SOOO helpful.

I seen this post. I am a Sept 2008 bride and need to get my but in gear. I am goingt o start back up with weight watchers. I think this would be a great post to help support each other because of common goals (weight watchers and wedding).

I'm trying the flex plan. I found in the past it works best for me.Only problem is I don't track. I want to be 125 for my wedding in late fall of 2008. It's so hard with my busy life. I wish they still had the old electronic points finder that would tell you how many points you've used for the day.Any suggestions as to how to make tracking easier, I'll gladly accept.

I just decided to restart the program today! i got engaged over the weekend, and i'd like to be AT LEAST 155lbs by my wedding day on October 11, 2008!

Are you doing the flex plan with the points, or the core plan where you don't have to track, but stick with a certain group of foods?

I've tried both in the past, and i find that the flex plan holds me more accountable since i have to write down everything i put in my mouth...
