I love hearing about everyones plans it is very positive and motivating. I need that. We can't seem to get our St Lucia trip booked! $$$$ reasons something seems to always come up and we absolutely cannot put on credit cards till i have the $$ to pay off right away. Well, I am determined for it to happen so that will keep our dreams alive maybe it will have to be our honeymoon instead of our wedding destination.

I am not getting married on a cruise - my wedding in Sept 08 is on soil :)

But two of our best friends are.
Feb 2008. It is expensive for guests, but worth every penny to have an excuse to take a once in a lifetime trip with your closest buddies....

Hi All,

My fiance, Gwen, and I are getting married during a Carnival Cruise out of Miami. But we are getting off the ship in Jamaica for the day and getting married on the island. We found a great wedding planner on the island who was very affordable and found us a great spot. We have about 50 people coming with us and a few flying straight to Jamaica.

I also has two friends who got married on the ship in the port, then they went on the cruise while all the guests got off the ship. Their reception was very rushed, though. That was the one big drawback I saw with that.

Thanks
matt

Hi Dawn! Congrats on your engagement. Sounds like it would be fun to have your wedding on a cruise. If you are inviting a lot of people it might take some stratigic planning.....
~We also have similar wait loss goals. Lets help each other out!

Thank you both for your info! I will check out that webpage!

Yes, unfortunatly you are stuck with the photographer that they provide - I will make sure to speak up if the pics dont feel like they will turn out well!

Thanks!

Here's to wedding planning! I went years ago on a weekend cruise that my best friend got married on. Word of advice. If you'r having the ships photoghrapher snap pictures just make sure they take some good ones! My BF's photographer was not great and I as the maid of honor kept correcting her as to were the couple should stand (facing the sun was one correction) So speak up if this gets to be an issue for you both. Other than that it was sooooo much fun

If you don't get much advice here, I'd head on over to cruisecritic dot com There's everything you need to know about cruises with messageboards full of people who know them inside and out.

I'm jealous though. I love cruising and would love to get married on a ship :)

Hello!! My FH and I are getting married June 2, 2008 on a Carnival Cruise ship. We are bringing our entire family (11 of us total) for the 5-day cruise to the Wester Caribbean. I was wondering if anyone else has done a similar thing? How did it go? Any advice, tips, ideas, etc? Thanks!
