I'd like to join in, too. I'm getting married at the end of July 2008. I'm reluctant to set a weight loss goal "for the wedding," because it's not *for* the wedding -- I'd be happy walking down the aisle the way I am right now. Any goal is just for me. How much would I like to lose by July next year? About 40 pounds would make me absolutely giddy.
But ... the wedding is, and wedding nuttiness certainly isn't making things any easier. (Neither is getting ready to move in less than a month, and being less than 3 months post-spinal surgery.) And through all of this, I can use as much motivation and support as I can get!

| Hey guys. Good luck with the weight loss. I joined a challenge on here to lose 30 lbs by the end of February and so far I've lost 9, so YAY. Except for the weight loss, I've been taking a mini bridal break this week. We've got no money for wedding stuff this week and with everything going on and the holidays coming up, I'm distracted. I know I have a couple things to do that have to be done right now, but I'm mostly focusing on weight loss and a sick baby.

may i be part of this
i am 25 5'6 and weight 173. i want to be 120 on wedding day whcih in jan 2008. do you thingk if i give me 110%, i can lose 53 pound by that time.
what should i do.

| That's a great quote isn't it! I was in my sister in law's wedding and luckily the dresses were black.lol..so that helped a little bit and I was the heaviest but I do believe that I looked great in that dress..i was complimented throughout the night..the upcoming wedding i'm going to be in though she wants to get something simple..so we'll see how that goes..she hasn't planned much yet, but i hope we get flattering dresses for all of our sizes..i lost 1 lb. this week for a total of 6 lbs..so hopefully i keep the motivation! good luck to you also

| Hey! You have the same quote up as I do! Good luck getting in shape before the wedding. I was maid of honor in my future sis in law's wedding right after having a baby and she had these very clingy bridesmaids dresses. I looked like I was still pregnant and everyone else was like a size 2!

| Hey! congrats. I'm not the bride to be but I'm the matron of honor and her wedding is in october so i'm excited about that and i seriously need to lose so lbs...all the other bridesmaids are itty bitty and i don't wanna be the fat one out of the bunch..i don't have much time but this was a last minute planned wedding so i can't do too much..just stay focused i suppose. good luck to you and everyone else out there.

| Hi! I'm getting married in June 2008. I would really like to lose 40 lbs by then but anything I lose is good cuz I have 2 young children. Anyone else getting married around then or in a similar spot? Maybe we can meet here regularly and check in with eachother.
