My dress is by Jenny Lee style 505. I saw it in a magazine and it was the first and last dress I tried on. My FMIL even liked it which is a miracle. It was about 4000$ but it was more expensive than normal since they needed extra fabric for my um.... large chest and the designer (who was there) made special adjustments for me.

| Mine is the Maggie Olympia. I got it for around $1100, with all alterations. It was my first choice, and for me, budget was not an issue. I think my best advice for dress hunting is to be open to whatever a salesperson suggests. I was convinced I wouldn't like halter dresses, but I actually tried on one that I liked. I think it's fun to just go try on a bunch of different styles, then narrow it down from there.

My dress is a Monique Luo (at David's Bridal), style #CH515- they have photos of it everywhere. =) I got it on sale for $900- which is WAY more than I intended to spend on my dress, but once I had it on- wow. I just knew it was the one. =)
I really loved some Maggie Sottero gowns as well, but none of them made me feel like this one did! Good luck with finding your dress! =)

I'm just looking for ideas for my July 2008 wedding. What is your dress? Designer, style, how much did you pay for it? Was it your first choice or did you have to compromise b/c of price?
