| Krysti--check out if there's a Cold Mountain soundtrack. . .That's what I'm going to do when I get home from work.

| The Cold Mountain thing is a great idea! My cousin is doing our ceremony music, he's a concert pianist. . .And I love John Legend! We're working on it.

| Oh, and John Legend's "Save Room" is amazing, as well as "Kissing You" from Romeo & Juliet.

| "I loved her first" is absolutely the best song for the father/daughter dance. I, however, have no idea how I'm going to handle that since my dad died when I was only 12. My older sister danced with our much older brothers, but I don't even know if I'd be able to do that without crying my eyes out since I'm a very emotional person! I always go outside when people do the father/daughter dance because it always breaks my heart that I'll never have that opportunity. Anyway, my fiance and I chose 311's "love song" for our first dance. It really fits our personalities adn our style, and it's still romantic enough to work, plus it's unique.

I've got a unique processional...
Ada Plays - it's from Cold Mountain that beautiful song that Nicole Kidman's character plays for Inamn on the piano.
To me it just sounds so sweet and beautiful, sounds almost like a hymn so it will fit beautifully into a wedding ceremony.

| Another good beach boys song - God Only Knows. Joss Stone sings a beautiful slow version of the song.

| Thanx for suggesting those songs I am downloading them now!

| Before I was even engaged I had a message on my answering machine at college from my dad playing the song "I Loved Her First" by Heartland. He said it should be the song that he and I dance to at my wedding. My fiance and I will be dancing to "I'll Be" for our first dance.

| We are having an acoustic guitar/soloist play "forever". The BeachBoys sang it, so did John Stamos in Full House (really cheesy that I know that, sorry). It is a gorgeous song and I wrote the arrangement we are using, so I got to make it really sweet and romantic. I can't wait to use the guitar (no words) in the ceremony and then have him sing it for our first dance!

KDAVIXEN - I checked out those songs you suggested, and they are so beautiful! I was crying by the time I finished listening to "Your Joy". My father and I are very close as well, and this is a perfect song for us! Thanks for the great suggestions!

| For anyone planning the wedding music right now...I've been trying to find songs for my wedding ceremony (walking down the isle) and reception, and I stumbled across a new artist (R&B or Soul-not really sure of the genre) who has THE BEST father daughter song I have ever heard!! My dad and I are really close so this song was perfect for me and I wanted to share...it's by Chrisette Michele and it's called "Your Joy". She also has a song called "Golden" that is all about commitment..it's very beatuiful (I'm also using this song somewhere in the wedding! Has anyone else come across any songs that you think are perfect for a ceremony or reception?? If you decide to check these songs out, let me know what you think! (I won't be offended I promise!)
