I put an ad on Craigslist today looking for a freelance photographer - not a wedding photographer. And who responded? No, not the no-show, but her boss/business partner!!
It turns out that I'm not the only one she flaked on. She left the business partnership less than 3 weeks after the grand opening party for their photography studio!
So, this other woman and I have worked together before too. She's run her own newspaper, she wrote an article about my PR business years ago, and she's all around awesome. PLUS, she's honoring the original quote (a mere, unbelievable, awesome $150), she's going to do some posed shots, and we'll get our disk at the end of the night!
Whew - what a relief. And I was kind of silly with my confirmation:
We'll see you on the 30th! Of June. Not July. This month. A Saturday. A little less than three weeks from now. 6:00(ish) p.m. In the evening. Almost nighttime, but not quite.
PLUS my mom is going to call a few days in advance.
(I warned the photographer why I'm a little bit over the top on the confirmation.)
