Howdy everyone!
Recently changed the date from April 19th to May 15th for the wedding...
Also changed the location, guest list, pretty much threw out what was initially planned (sterotypical "traditional" chappel wedding and reception) and decided for a 5 day cruise to Nassau with 15 of our closest friends and family. And here's the best part... our initial budget was for about $20,000 (after the estimates from ALL the vendors) and now for the cruise (for everyone) and for the wedding package, it's less than $10,000. Group rates ROCK! And What took me months of planning with picking out locations, vendors, and such, I was able to completely accomplish in HOURS with the cruise line.
I'm getting married in the Bahamas!

Now I just need to find that motivation to get out and work out... and find a new job, and move to North Carolina...
I'm glad that at least I don't have to worry about the wedding now...

53 lbs isnt bad. I have to lose 63 in 330 days. or so... that equals out to be about 1.5lbs a week.

You do sound like you have everything going at a steady rate. Good job for you! its probably a good idea to get as much done before the move!

YAYYAYAYAYAYA for MAY 17th!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting married May 17 too! So rock on for date twins.

Weight loss is weird because I'm in a nice friendly rut and have gotten to the point where family insists that I'm too thin (I'm not but my pater isn't really an accurate source of health).

For wedding planning I have my ceremony/reception site, caterer (came with site), dress, dj, cake, photographer, and i know what invitations I want but have yet to order. Phew, it sounds like a lot but I'm in a situation where I'm going to be moving out of town so I want to get all my planning done now and worry about little stuff later

we're planning for a May '08 wedding. still don't have a date picked out yet though. i have to drop 53 lbs in the remaining time to reach my goal weight. i'm a bit worried given that it is more than 1 lb per week which is hard to average over a long term, but we'll see how it goes.

By the way my name is Erica. If anyone needs any advice on what to do, where to find something, or suggestions on anything, let me know!

I am going to EVENTUALLY become a wedding cordinator, so I have thousands of ideas!

If you like the idea of the mugs, I can work something out for you as far as a price (cheap)to do some for you as well! I wouldn't mind the extra cash!
I can send pictures of the ones we have done so far and you can tell me what you think!

Well crazy as it sounds, I met this girl on myspace that is getting married on May 17th too! Its a popular day, I guess!

Well my fiance are getting married in Denver, CO where we both are from and we now live in Missouri. So its kinda hard. I want to start booking the chapel and the reception hall but I want to look at them first (speaking of I have to make sure the chapel is still available for the 17th!)
We have basically everything settled, which we need to do because I am making EVERYTHING for the wedding (except the clothing). But everything like the decorations, flowers, and even the gifts we are giving the BM GM and MOH and Best Man. We are buying beer mugs and wine glasses and my FH (future husband) has a sand blaster so we are etching their names into the glasses... the beer mugs are like $3 a peice and the glasses are 19.99 for 12 .. so its gonna be super super cheap.

I am also making the buffet dinner! I like to know that everything on my day will be about me not just being the bride, but everyone will know that i took a lot of time and energy into every last detail!

Hi! We're getting married May 3, 2008. My goal is to lose at least 12 pounds and keep it off, plus firm up my arms, back, and shoulders so I look good in my strapless dress. As far as planning, I've got the dress and a lot of ideas, but the dress is the only thing settled so far. I know there's only 11 months to go, so we better get moving!

HI EVERYONE, my name is Erica and I am getting married MAY 17 2008!!! I am soo excited...

I have 341 days to lose 63 lbs... I am nervous about that because I have never been able to intentionally lose weight.

So when are you getting married and what are your goals? How far are you on planning as well?
