ABSOLUTELY YOU CAN! I got engaged at Christmas and while I am not done with my planning, a friend of mine got engaged at the same time and had EVERYTHING DONE and BOOKED by a week after New Years. I am talking the whole nine: flowers, photog, limo, dresses, invites, etc.

It was crazy, but she did it. I wish you all the best with your planning!

It's very possible to have a beautiful wedding on such short notice and don't let anyone tell you differently! My future sister-in-law organized hers in just over three months and didn't have too much of a problem. I think the hardest part was finding a reception site and photographer that you like, is affordable, and available on your day. Everything else is just details.

do you already have a list of tasks? there's a lot of people to coordinate... the location, the officiant, the caterer, the baker, the alteration shop... even for a bare-bones wedding... plus, you've got to get those invites out tomorrow so people save the date... sounds like a lot of pressure. good luck!

It all depends on the wedding. My sister is having something very simple and total planning will be about 4-5 months. A friend from work also planned in about 3 months, and that is for a small out of state wedding as well.

All in all it can be done!

My best friend planned her wedding in 6 weeks a few years ago. Bridesmaid dresses were off the rack from Macy's, and we made the center pieces and decorations, invitations, etc. ourselves. Everything was still very nice and she was still able to have a professional DJ and photographer and caterer. I think when you plan a wedding quickly like that you just have to be flexible - it'll be harder to get EXACTLY what you want but you can still have nice things.

My parents booked the date they wanted - six weeks in advance! They did everything in the time (okay, fair enough, this is going back 30something years, but still...). Sure, you might need to simplify some aspects of it, but it can definitely be done! Congratulations by the way!

Absolutely... our photographer was telling us recently about a wedding that he shot where the bride and groom had planned the whole thing in a week! (It was NOT in their backyard with catering from Subway or anything, either - it was in a vineyard, even.)

It may require making some substitutions, though - like buying a bridesmaid gown in white instead of a wedding gown so you can get it quicker, getting married on a day other than a saturday if the place you want is booked, etc. And you may have to get started right away on some things, like getting invitations made or finding someone to do your cake. But I think you can definitely do it, so long as you don't get stressed too easily!

Sure, anything's possible. My cousin planned her wedding in four months last year. It depends on the size of the event and how much into the details you're going to get. Just make sure to get a good checklist, and get things done ASAP! I'm sure everything will work out fine.. :)

So we just got engaged and was going to use the beginning of December then we decided that's to close to Christmas, so we changed to Jan. but the we started to think we have alot of out of town guest, older people that won't drive in ice or snow which very well could be the issue, so now we are thinking middle of September. If I can get a place reserved in the next week, and since I know basically what I want as far as decorations.. is it possible to get everything done in 3 months?
