| I'm so jealous! My family started collecting Lladro's after my dad went to Spain when I was a kid, and then i lived there when I was in college. I looked on line for the bride and groom figure and it was way out of my price range. That's great that not only will your topper be a beautiful piece of art, but also have the sentiment of a gift from your sister to your mother. . .

| I was just going to use fresh flowers to decorate the cake, but florist budget got a little out of control, so I went with the Monogram letter with the Swarovski crystals. I always thought monograms were preppy/pretensious, but my fiance keeps joking about how he will decorate our foyer--for the house we hacen't bought yet--with a giant W emblem in the floor. I told him absolutely not! The W on teh cake will be a surprise, and then I'll tell him that's all the monogram he's allowed.

| We have a feather theme going on for our winter wedding, so we're having a "feather cake" made! No topper necessary. =) We'll just have some of the flowers around it on the table.

| Our wedding is a winter themed wedding, so I'm thinking about using this snowglobe I found online that has the bride and groom dancing inside of it. I also found this really nice topper with a bride and groom surrounded by snowflakes, but it is quite expensive.

| We got married last April and had real shells on our cake for our beach wedding. It looked BEAUTIFUL. The people at the resort where I got married cleaned them off, and I kept the shells. I have them displayed near our other wedding "stuff."

| I am using a Lladro bride and groom that my sister gave my mom after her wedding 26 years ago. It is the original bride and groom made by Lladro. My mom was willing to buy me one of my own, but I like the idea of using something from my sister's wedding better.

we aren't going to have anything on top of our cake. Its just going to be a a really simple white cake with ribbon around it

| We are using the Swarvoski Crystal Monogram. I love it! They look even better in person than online.

i've been going back and forth over it. we're doing a black ribbon around each layer with roses at the bottom and piled on top. i think a topper might take away from it all.
if i were going to use a topper i love the plain metal and crystal initials...

| I'm also using the Promise Willow Tree figure! I love it! I happened to mention it to my fiance's mother so she went out and bought it for us! I want to take it out of the box so bad and display it, but my honey has a tendency of breaking things lol!

| I'm sooo excited...I couldn't decided between the two Willow Tree angels....well I finally decided on Promise (the couple that looks like they are dancing) right...well my man got me the other for our anniversary so it will be sitting on the table as well....SO HAPPY....I LOVE HIM!!!!

So, this may be strange but...
for our second wedding (we're having a very very small marriage ceremony on 4 June with just us and 10 others at our church, and then in September 08 we are having a big reception and a Mass with a marriage ceremony (really a renewal of vows) we are going to have a Chewbacca as a groom and a bride figurine next to him :)
My FI's nickname is Chewy, and has been for years. Even his commanding officer calls him Staff Sergeant Chewy!
We haven't picked the cake yet, but we have already chosen that!

| I got the same Willow Tree as Mrs.jureczki but I"m not using on the top of my cake. I'm having flowers on the top and sides and I'm putting the figurine to one side of the cake. I love the monograms, too. Very elegant. My wedding is more casual, though so I thought the Willow would work best for us.

| We want to keep things light-hearted, so we chose the bride dragging the groom, and I figure we can play the "man song" for the cake cutting.

| We've discussed using flowers, or buying a nice blown glass piece that we can keep after the wedding. I think the main thing is that we don't want something really expensive that we will never need/use again...

| I GOT MINE FROM HOBBY LOBBY IT WAS REALLY REASONABLE IT HAVE A LITTLE COWBOY AND GIRL ON IT WITH A HORSESHOE BEHIND IT. IT IS REALLY CUTE AND FITS OUR THEAM!! ALL OUR GUYS STANDING UP ARE WEARING COWBOY HATS AND BOOTS WITH THEIR TUXES. I AM LOVEING IT!!

| I have been having trouble finding a cake topper that I love without spending half my budget....I was talkin to my best friend about how I love those Willow Tree Figures but I always buy them for other people and have never gotten one...well SHE called my mom and they were talkin about it and then she e-mailed me and was like why don't you use one of those as your topper...so I started lookin at em and I found one that is a man and woman and they are huggin/dancin...it is sooo cute...that is what we're gettin! So excited!!! My mom is gettin it on EBAY!!!
