You don't need a necklace!
The way you described sounds beautiful.

| I agree that if you're wearing BIG drop earrings, you don't need a necklace. I wore a fine "Tin Cup" pearl necklace with my gown which was off the shoulders, and my hair was in the same style as yours, but, I wore small pearl earrings. I think large earrings would have looked overdone with my own gown.

| One other option is a simple strand of pearls. You said your dress has pearl accents on it, so the pearl necklace would fit right in and not look too busy.

| Thanks greyfuzzy, I think I have made up my mind already not to wear a necklace, Im not even interested in trying it together. Another worry is a necklace will make my neck look fatter, not something I want to be paranoid of on my wedding day. Just needed some reassurence, thank you. XXX

Mentally picturing it, I would say that you are probably right and that it doesn't need a necklace. If you have dangly earrings and some fancy trim at the top of your gown, it might be too much going on to have a necklace too. After all, you want people to see YOU looking beautiful, not jewelry overload... and everyone's neck and collarbones are gorgeous as is. You could always do what PERMANENTCHANGE suggested and try it on, though! That way you would know for sure.

| It all sounds very pretty, but I have been to weddings where the bride has too much going on. My suggestion would be to try it all on in a mock fashion with a necklace to see if it looks too busy. Also you could look on the internet at veil websites etc to try to see something like yours. Hugs,PC

| I will be wearing a strapless wedding dress which has a small amount of lace at the top with dainty pearls and crystals. My hair is going to be in a sleek bun at the bottom of my neck with a long veil secured above it. I will not be wearing a tradional tiara, but a crystal headband instead. My problem is, do I wear a necklace or not? I am planning on wearing drop earrings, although I havent found any yet. My best friend says that I should wear a necklace because I have no straps, but I think, if I have some fancy long earrings on then a necklace wont be nessasary. I would also like to wear a bracelet. Sorry its a essay, hope somebody takes time to read it. Thank you.
