| We are not doing favors. It's not really in our budget.

| We are giving small bags of candy with a bookmark tied to it. The bookmarks will have a poem and our names and wedding date on them.

| We had customized golf tees (our reception was at a golf club) and hershey kisses tied in a little bag for each guest. The favor was at the place setting when we sat down for dinner.

| We're odd birds and our friends and family know it, so I don't think that our favours will be a huge surprise even though they're unusual. We're both gargoyle buffs, and found miniture gargoyle figurines (6 different styles) that will be tied with emerald satin ribbon (our last name will be Greenwood) and a parchment tag with our names and date on it (we're printing the tags ourselves). We're both eally excited about this, and bought enough so that we can keep one complete set for ourselves! ;}

| I'm all about the edible favors. We're giving away individual packages of chocolate covered macadamia nuts and coffee beans from Cafe Britt in Costa Rica, where we're getting married before our party. We're actually ordering them online in advance - and they are 12 for $12. They won't be customized at all, but I think they'll be a big hit.

| That's a good idea. I think we're gonna put ours in small gift bags along with the chocolates, tied off with some raffia and a tag that says thank you and our name/date. That's the plan today at least. LOL.

| I agree Ladyboop! If people are there only for goodies... well then their missing the point. I'm thinking of wrapping each candle (the candle has no names or dates) in tulle and tying the tulle with a ribbon that has our names and date. That way when people take them home they can take it out of the tulle and it won't be personalized.

I saw that people are getting sick of candles too, but I figure these are made by us using shells we found on our beaches so it makes it a little more personal. But if you like candles, and they are the most cost effective for you, go for it. We aren't going to put any dates or our names on them, so people can use them as decor it they want.
Also, as some people have said, your guests are there to celebrate the DAY with the two of you, not the favors. If they are only going for the Goodies they are getting, then they're missing the point. JMO.

| Since I'm having a beach themed wedding, I saw these candles that had starfish on the top of them. But then I read that some people were getting sick of candles. I'm trying to not to spend so much, since I have almost 200 guests, I'm trying to keep the cost low for the favors. I'm not sure where to look for inexpensive favors that everybody will like. So far the candles are at the top of the list. But, I love candles.

| We are having a beach-themed wedding so...we are making gel candles with shells my FI and I collected from our local beaches. We are also having seashell chocolates made and I'm playing with the idea of having pairs of seahorse sugar cookies made also for each guest. Seahorses mate for life...I know - it's sappy...and we have other seahorse things. I don't think anyone will throw away food, but all that might be too much.

We are getting those single-serving bottles of wine from a local winery (approx $2.00 each). They print up personalized labels for you to stick on the bottle. We are going to tie a ribbon to the bottle with the person's name and table number on a tag. They will all be on a table as you walk in as "placecards" and then serve as the favor. I hate getting stupid crap that you end up throwing away anyway, and I don't know many in our families that will throw away wine! :-)
