| we didn't want a videographer for the wedding ceremony or reception but Fi's Mom decided she can't live without it on tape so we'll probably have a family friend do one for us at a cheaper cost. Just the ceremony part. Hopefully he'll also burn it to a dvd or something for my mom as well. My Finance and I aren't the type to pop a movie of our wedding in and watch it.

| im having a videographer. its a big deal to me! besides my pictures it will probably be the only thing i have as a memory of my wedding-i have heard that you dont remember a lot of it. they will video for 4 hours, and the actual video will only be 45 minutes, plus a ten minute dvd that just has highlights. they wont be following me around all night- they will be videoing everything that is going on-the guests etc. it will be a fun thing to be able to show our kids i think.

Yeah, the idea of having some stranger follow me around with a video camera all day unnerves me a little, too. Frankly, I'm not even sure that I necessarily WANT the entire day videotaped... I doubt I'd watch it a lot. More than anything I just want it preserved for posterity (for kids, grandkids, anniversaries, whatever), hopefully without a bunch of bad background music and cheesy editing.
I've been thinking about having a friend tape the ceremony and maybe snippets of the reception, and using the money we would've spent on a professional videographer to get a better photographer instead. Not sure, though...

| I'm undecided on whether or not I want a videographer. I'm pretty much going to make my mother decide. I don't think I'd watch it thought.

Sooo, I booked our wedding videographer today... I'm not so keen on it. The thing is, I'm a huge attention fan, but somehow, for some reason, I just don't like the idea of having a camera on me ALL day. Oh, well..
Has anybody else had a feeling like this?
