| I did the same thing before and it work a lot better than rewarding yourself with food (what a dumb idea). Good luck to you and your groom with your wedding plans and your future.

I know for me, my motivation is ok, but before finding SP I think I always tried to take on too much right away and felt overwhelmed.
Maybe try to start out by setting a few goals for yourself that should be pretty easy to do, such as drinking your water every day and getting in 10 minutes of cardio every day, or something else that will be a small challenge but won't turn your life upside down.. as those things become 2nd nature, then find a few other small things to change.
It's a lot easier to be motivated to do one or two specific things each day then to try and change your whole lifestlye all at once.. it's also easier to feel good about what you are doing when you have a couple concrete things to do each day.
good luck

I know what you mean. I have been in a rut for some time now. Going to school FT working FT and then all of the wedding planning. I got to a point where when I got home, I literally just got in bed and watched TV all night. I didn't do anything. I am working on getting out of that rut now and am moving towards a healthier new me. i very well can't do that from the bed, so I get up and get moving and don't stop till I drop!!!
I will send you an invite to a team that I started. It might be able to help you with some motivation.

| I started Spark People knowing that I would soon be engaged and wanted to drop a lot of weight...Well now I'm engaged, and I found my dress. I still want to lose the weight but I'm just having a hard time getting motivated to do it....any suggestions!?
