| My fiance and I are considering this December for our wedding and having a winter/Christmas theme. I had always wanted a summer wedding, but there are so many cool things you can do for winter. We live in Michigan, though, so weather is a concern.

Congratulations to all! My husband and I are planning to have the big wedding we didn't have originally and December 07 is one of the possiblities... (Although it's going to be cold in the dress I have!)
January131 - Where in VT are you getting married? I live in VT and it is beautiful in the winter (although we haven't had much winter weather this year! Hopefully it will be snowier next winter though!)

I'm doing ornaments as favors and wrapping them like presents. I'm getting personalized ornaments from: http://www.simply-sublime.com/personalized-ornaments.htm I only have 11-14 guests, so $16.95 per favor isn't too much for my budget and I only need to buy one per couple. I'm doing more of a winter wonderland theme than a Christmas theme because we're getting married in Vermont, and it is a winter wonderland up there.

Ok I had to share this bc I never thought about this when I picked a Dec wedding.
I just got back from the reception hall and the wedding coordinator there gave me some great ideas. She mentioned that the hall is decorated for Christmas and I can do a Christmas theme or a winter/holiday theme. She said the tables can be graced with presents instead of flowers or candles. And then another excellent idea she has was to give away ornaments as favors. Buy mass boxes and then print your own labels and affix them to the bulb.
I think I'll supply the church with poinsetta plants now instead of the traditional wedding arrangements. (My church keeps the flowers so they will probably be excited for the free pointsettas...lol) What an excellent idea. I was so excited I had to share!

First off....congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!
We are planning a Dec 1 wedding. I go look at my first reception hall today on lunch. Hopefully it pans out and DF likes it too b/c this is my #1 pick.
I too am doing apple red...I am going to wait a few months b4 dress shopping. Hoping I can shed mreo weight b4 then.
How early do "they" say you should have your dress ordered by?
Anyone decided anything else like favors or flowers?

| December 8th for me. My fiance asked me to get married in Vermont! I'm doing baby blue and silver for colors. I picked flowers, cake, menu, location, and dress so far.

| We haven't set an official date yet (hoping to be doing that this month) but I'm a teacher so our choices are August and Decemeber. I'm hoping for Decemeber (the bridesmaid's dresses are apple red and i think it would be incrediably romantic :))
