I have the exact same problem! My downfall is always being invited to multiple holiday dinners and eating all of my favorite things at each one. If this is something you think you might be dealing with, I would try to pick one dinner where you can have whatever you want (but don't go crazy!) and then for the rest try to find out what they're having so that you can plan exactly which things will be best, health-wise, to eat.

Hi! I know exactly what you are going through, I did it last year! I found that getting a very small plate if there are just snacky foods out and filling just that plate once with your favorites helps to get the cravings out and you don't eat as much. Also, don't deny yourself things that you like, or you will end up eating other things (ie, you really want that chocolate chip cookie, but you eat a rice cake instead), and then still eating the cookie. So if you really want the cookie, break it in half and throw the other half out or give it to someone else. You will have taken care of your craving and not have eaten all the calories of it plus the calories in a "healthier option". This really works, and I lost 12 lbs over christmas last year by not denying myself and just watching portions. HOpe this helps! :)

I think it would be good to just maintain during the holidays, if nothing else. Make that your goal and you may do better than you think!

I started my weight loose program so I could have more energy and be in better shape to play with my kids and never gave any thought to my wedding till we were picking the month. Now I want to drop at least 40 pounds by June. I have started on the right track and have started loosing But the holidays is always the down fall for me all the rich and good foods that are baked ,broiled, roasted and list goes on. I am trying my hardest to strickly stick to my diet so I loose and not gain this holiday season.
