Ok! I have made some notes on the vellum paper!
First, make sure you have enough so that if your printing screws up a few times you still have enough invites to go around.
Next, what we ended up doing was TAPING the vellum paper to a normal 8.5"x11" piece of paper. Our vellum paper was 4 5/8" wide and 7.5" long. We sized our printed area inside a 4 5/8" x 7.5" box - like we drew a box in MS Word of that size and then typed our invitation wording inside that.
We made sure that it would print ok first on the 8.5"x11" page and kept the box that we drew outlined in black for the first printing. It printed a-ok on the 8.5"x11" piece of paper inside the black box, so we let the ink dry...
We then made the outline of the box WHITE in MS Word. If you get rid of the box, it messes up where everything is on the page, and if you leave the box black, you will have a black outline around your invites. So, making the box white eliminates both of these problems!
Then, we just taped the leading edge of the vellum paper to the 8.5"x11" page with the box printed on it - the vellum paper should be the same size as the box, so tape the vellum right over the box! Just make sure you don't print on the tape... We taped all the way across the top of the vellum paper, so the edges of the sheet wouldn't get stuck in the printer and screw it all up.
We only printed one invite at a time, but I think you could get away with printing 2 or 3 8.5"x11" pages with black boxes and tape the vellum to them and print successfully.

I just joined a few days ago in hopes that I would be able to lose at least 10 pounds before my upcoming wedding on 07-20-07. It sure is approaching fast. Last year when I got engaged I said that I would be more healthy and work on losing weight but it turned out that I fell into a rut by thinking I had plenty of time. Now I am at my heaviest ever and would really like to lose some b4 the big day.

We got ours at Staples, but I saw them at Michael's Crafts, as well...
We got the type with vellum (sp?) paper that you print on, then it has a "pretty" paper that ties behind the vellum with a little ribbon. They are really cute - but we have 2 printers and NEITHER will print the vellum paper! We got one out on our first try - so we have ONE completed invite. 
My suggestion is to buy extra vellum paper if that is what you are using! lol... I will be trying another printing method tonight... I just thought that I could try taping the vellum paper to a normal piece of paper and try to run it through the printers that way.
The problems we have had are: my printer sucks up the vellum paper and eats it (it gets crumbled as it goes through and then gets stuck), the other printer doesn't even recognize that there is vellum paper in there because it is so thin, and when we add a few vellum papers to the other printer, it sucks one in and it gets stuck.
So, wish me lucj and I'll keep you posted!

20/07/2007: We need to buy our cake (we already know what we're doing), make our invites (we have everything ready, but they just don't seem to want to print in our dang printers! ), send those out, and finalize our Marriage Commissioner. And, we need to work out transportation... I hope that's it! We bought everything for our favours this week... hopefully THAT goes better than the invite printing!

We're getting married 20/07/2007.  Originially, it was going to be 08/08/08, but we didn't want to wait that long... Plus, FH might be in the middle of school then, or just starting to work in a new job, so wouldn't be able to get away or maybe even take vacation for our wedding! Either way, it's a Friday!
I only got my dress a few weeks ago. I bought it at a dress sale for cheap, cheap, cheap! And, my MOH was with me and got a cute summer dress that matches the band along my bustline perfectly! I have to say that it was quite a hectic endeavour, but I am glad I found a dress that I really like for not a lot of money.
We're lining up our Marriage Commissioner right now, and we have decided on cake. Since it is a small wedding, we don't anticipate having to spend too much on that! Same with flowers - we really like the ones we are getting, and it won't be expensive at all. And our photographer is so excited for us! We didn't even know her before we started planning this thing!
And, we only started planning in February... So it's pretty short-term planning, too!

| 7/7/7 ... and in high gear ... just picked out my dress today (can you believe that ...) and like and earlier poster ... I've been engaged since New Year's Eve 2005!!! ... Actually ... for anyone who hasn't bought their dress. By a flook ... I tried a dress on in the shop ... loved it, asked them to right down the style and maker so I could view it online (they would let me take pictures) ... while searching I found my dress available online for 250 less!!! Amazing ... Congrats to all of you!!! And woo hoo to all my 7/7/7 bride buddies ... promise I'll say a prayer for you that day!

I'm a 7/7/07 bride too! We totally picked that day on purpose and planned a lot early in our engagement. So now, it's just the smaller things. Even though we've been engaged for such a long time (it will be 17 months total), I put off losing weight until now...and now it's crunch time!!! Luckily, my dress fits, but I would like to have to be taken in at my first fitting in April.
So I'll be posting a lot now. Hope to get to know everyone better!

| I am getting married on 07/28/07. I am slightly intimidated by how much planning you all seem to have completed. I have my dress. But otherwise... My fiance and I are spending the year going to school in Europe but planning our wedding for New England. It has been an interesting challenge to plan a wedding for a place neither of us are or can be until June 2007 at the earliest. Luckily about half of the wedding party is in the area and can help!

| We are getting married on 6/2/07. I can't wait. We are going on a cruise (i feel the bikini pain!!!). We are just having a small gathering at a state park ($150 for 12 hours - can't beat it!!)I joined about a week ago. I need to get my dress in about 2 months so it is nose to the grindstone time. I have lost about 20 lbs this year on my own (I started smoking again :( ) and then hit the wall.

Getting married on July 3rd, 2007. Its on a Tuesday, but its a Tuesday before the 4th of July Holiday! That's pretty much the main reason why we booked that date!
I didn't realize the 7/7/07 date until a year after I booked my reception site!

| Hello...I am also a 7/07/07 bride who fell upon it on accident. We looked at the 2006 calander when we decided and picked 7/8/07 not realizing it is a Sunday so we switched to 7/7/07. Not realizing how busy of a day it is. I am 25 and getting married in Chicago, IL.

Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm 22 and it looks like I am the only one so far getting married on 07/13/07
We haven't had too much trouble finding stuff because no one else is braving the Friday the 13th (I think it is a fun day to choose). Don't stress out too much, Yvonne... We just got the places we're having things sorted out and I have my dress, but that is about it. Oh, and we've decided to honeymoon in New York City. (So excited!)
I'm not trying to lose weight for the wedding though because I don't think it would make much difference (I've always been a plus sized gal)... I'm just trying to get healthier for the future and all the stressful moving post-wedding.
Oh, it is funny that some of you ladies are choosing July because of school, I am doing the same thing except that I am not a teacher, I'm a uni student and waiting until after graduation and before I start my next stint of school.

I know what you mean about doing things too early! We are getting married July 21, 2007 and we've already started registering. But it's too fun not to do!
As far as waiting until the pounds start falling off. I've done all the diet plans before and the best piece of advice I've gotten is to think of your body as a week behind. So if i've had a really good week this week it will show up by the end of next week. Unfortunatly, I haven't had a good week, so that will show up next week too!!

I totally agree...who waits the day of to the seating chart? She gets what she deserves...she was crazy! They are all crazy..I can only hope that I do not end up like that...I have so much done all ready that I really that I am really not stressing right now...I do wish some pounds would start to come off though. | I am so jealous! We wanted 07-07-07 and were gunning for it since our engagement in Feb. 2005. But when we tried to book our site in May of 2006 we were third in line and the first date we could get is 07-28-07. But we're happy with it now...it's our wedding date. Hope I can make my goal before then!

July 7th 2007 is a busy date. We actually just got it by accident not thinking about it. Friends in my family own a castle (sounds more fancy than it is ;) ). It is a wonderful place and they rent it out for special occasions, but only on a few rare occasions; well, they agreed to host us! Now, we need a caterer; need to figure out the church (two options: cute and small, or big and beautiful). And than I just realized I will need a wedding dress - July could be hot - so I was even thinking about something short and maybe not even white? But my family is very traditional, and might not find this a good idea. Wow, so many things to do. Have you decided on your food yet?

Wow - you are fast! We have only decided on location yet - the date will be one of the Saturdays in July. We are still in the process of juggeling all the people, the place, the church etc. And I decided to loose a couple pounds. I want to feel good and look good. However - no honeymoon is planned.
