I think I've taken too long of a break and now don't feel like doing anything at all. I'm sure once I get back in the swing of things, hopefully I'll get back into it. I just feel like I've done so much already that I should be done by now - but noooo. Although, I'm sure if I don't get back into it, my wedding coordinator will be on my butt telling me I need to get things done! She has been a life saver, I tell ya. If you can afford a coordinator - DO IT!!!

Hi!
Brand new here at SP. My wedding is march 30, 2007 and i am EAXACTLY at that point- TONS of stuff to do, but no motivation to do it! that includes losing weight, working out, paying vendors or researching anymore. We got engaged in Feb. 2006, and i've been almost non-stop since then.
but it's true , i've gone through "phases" where i cant stand anything else wedding, and then i'm obsessed with it all again. What i do, is MAKE myself take a week (OK, maybe 4 days)where i don't do ANYTHING wedding- i dont talk about it. research, look at my to do list or read about it. usually by then i get anxious to work on it again. that might not work if you have a wedding coming soon, but youve got to give yourself break times.

Christine - I'm sorry to hear about your mom. That must be really difficult. I give you huge kudos for finding the motivation to keep going.

Painted Lady - I know - it seems like for each thing checked off the list, there is an endless list of things still to do.

I've just returned from vacation, and feel like I'm ready to get back into planning. We went to a renaiassance festival on Saturday and found some toasting goblets. It was a lucky find - we weren't really looking, but there they were! So that kinda got me in the planning spirit again. So much to do . . .

Thanks to both of you! Best of luck with everything.

I have gone thru a few phases like that. I am only 2.5 months away. My Mom died on Labor Day and I have been trying to get back to focusing on the fun stuff of the wedding but it has been hard. I did address my announcements (I'm doing announcements instead of invitations as it's a small home wedding)the last couple of days. I am going to drag myself to Michaels next week to get the finishing touches for my favors. Then it's just lose weight...lol.

I've hit a slump with my planning and can't seem to get back on top of things. I just don't feel like doing anything else right now. Maybe I'm burned out. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas how to get motivated to plan again? I've got 6 months to go and lots to do still!
