I haven't decided on one yet, but I'm meeting with DJ John Cristoferi next week - he was on the list of preferred vendors for my venue. A girl I work with is also using him for her May 07 wedding & she's been to a wedding that he DJ'ed, the price he quoted me is definitely budget-friendly - I just want to meet him and see his playlist before I make a decision.
For pricing you may want to check out Sweet Emotions (they also do video) and Entertainment Specialists. Entertainment Specialists has a huge selection of DJ's to fit every budget. No idea how they are to work with though.

Try the wedding Photojournalists Association's website

It's a directory of photojournalist and documentary wedding photographers with listings by state, country etc...

| i'm not in massachusetts but will be getting married there in two years, i just popped into this discussion and looked up the photographer you are all raving about and he looks amazing and cheap and he's in the next town over from where i live so i think it's perfect

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the site, live in MA (Abington) and I'm also getting married this year - 10.20.07. How are everyone's plans coming? I've been finding that my weight loss plans get to be more of a challenge, the more I get into the wedding planning - anyone else feel that sometimes?

Its just Stephanie who does everything, but she has been really flexible and her prices are so reasonable. She was about $400 or so cheaper than a lot of other florists we've looked at.

All we have planned is the location!  Thankfully the venue includes cake, decorations, and food so all we really need to plan are photographer and florist for the wedding party flowers. My bridesmaid's husband is going to make our favors as our wedding gift and our groomsman's step father is going to be our DJ... thankfully we don't have to worry about that!

I love unlimited time and no travel fees! That was definitely a plus for us too with our photographers. We only did enagement pictures because they did them for free so we could see what it was like to work with them.
What have you guys planned so far?

We're not doing e-pics. A friend of ours took some over Christmas, but we didn't feel like we needed them. If you look on his site, though, he posts all the sessions he's done w/ people, so you can get a feel for his style.
Our fave part (aside from the unlimited hours and no travel fees, lol) were the albums he does. I LOVE them.

| Keith is actually one of the photographers that I have been talking to via email. He seems like a really nice guy and he's definitely highly recommended by Knotties! Have you done your engagement session with him yet?

I grew up in the Berkshires, so it's about 3 hours from Boston. Far ride!
Our photographer is awesome, his name is Keith Berry. Website: www.berryphotos.com. I'm not sure what you're looking for, but he's SO nice in person, we loved him.

Hey girls! I live in Boston, getting married out in Western MA 9/15/07. I've also done lots of research, so if you need help, feel free! I can only imagine trying to plan long-distance.

| I took three parts already, May, July and August. I definitely pasesd the first two, and I have one more in October. Hopefully I will get my scores quickly - I am ready to be done with that so I can actually enjoy planning the wedding!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!! Talk about taking on a lot right before a wedding! When are you scheduled to test? Do you know yet?
If you have any recommendations for photographers I would love to hear them. Since I'm living so far away it's hard to see people's actual work. Thanks for the help! :-)

I'm always on the Knot - not so much wedding Channel, but I do use it! I know the feeling about the stress - I'm trying to pass the CPA (Certified Public Accountant)exam by the end of the fall all while planning the wedding!  Let me know if you need any ideas about vendors - I have a good amount of them booked!

| I'm getting married on the North Shore (Danversport Yacht Club) on Sept. 30, 2007. I just started the planning and the stress is already overwelming!!!! I'm planning the wedding from Denver until March 2007. I think that is the cause of my stress. Are you on theknot or weddingchannel? I live by those sites right now!
