CRICKETRO, I'm assuming from your ticker that in your case "as much as you want" isn't that much! Lucky you!
I know the corset on my dress is supposed to be 4 inches across at the top, and comes down to a V at the bottom. It really doesn't look good if the top of the corset is less than 3 inches, IMHO. So really, I can lose an inch around my lower bust before I need alterations.

| Yeah, I think that is what I am going to focus on. I want to at least tone my muscles and not look as... sloppy as I do now.

well u can go into maintanance mode cause u have to work out anyway. but don't cut calories that much.
i have a dress on corset and i'll be ordering it this month (after the 10th). however i can lose as much as i want cause the corset takes care of the fitting

| I have a similar problem. I have my dress and it fits like a glove. My wedding date is 12/23/06, and I think I can safely loose 10-15 pounds without any alterations because my dress has a corset back. (I did that on purpose.) I'm on the high end of my healthy weight range right now, so it might take me a long time to lose what I want to anyway. I'm trying not to worry about it. I have a good seamstress, so hopefully she won't overcharge me if I do need alterations. I figure the alteration money will be worth it if I am the healthiest I can be on that day!

| I have also been doing the arm workout and it's great!

In Style Weddings had a really great arm workout that you can do with just dumbells--I've been doing it for a litle over a month and have had really great results.
I'm going to post it in a separate message thread because it's huge.

| My wedding isn't for another year, but my dress fits now, too. I am still working on my muscles and weight loss, though.. I figure they can always bring it in. But yeah, arm exercises/ shoulder exercises/ back things are great!

| I am in the exact same position. My dress needs zero alterations and I'm getting married at the end of the month. I am still working out 5 times a week and eating healthy to maintain my weight. However, I have picked up momentum on the arm exercises to tone up as well as ab exercises. As long as you keep up the exercise and healthy eating you will maintain so you can fit but you can also build muscle mass

| if you focus your workouts on turning fat/flab into muscle your size won't dramatically change, just your body composition. you can also watch your measurements with your routine.

| So I was trying to drop some pounds before the wedding. Wanted to look nice and slim. Well, my wedding dress came in this past Friday. I picked it up Saturday and when I tried it on it fit perfectly. As in I don't need any alterations. But if I lose weight, I will need alterations. So I don't think I want to lose weight anymore. But now I am needing ways to tone up because I still want to look as good as possible in my bathing suit on our honeymoon cruise but I don't want to lose much weight because I want to look great in my wedding dress. How do I work the two things together? (I weight about 145 right now.)
