B.S.Nursing student here. Won't graduate till Dec. 2007. He graduated college in 1997.

Got engaged March 17, 2006. We have been together for 3 years. We have lived together for the majority of the duration. We have together (our children).

Don't plan on getting married till after I graduate, pass the NCLEX, and get a job. Location at the moment: Italy.

I am a student bride and I think my head is going to be spinning. I graduate on May 11 and our wedding date is set for May 19, 2007. I am going to be crazy, but I will be starting a new job almost immeadately after graduation and didn't want to have to ask for a week or so off.

Yay! Go Pokes! I get so excited when I see other people from the area on here! I go to OSU in Stillwater. He graduates in Dec. and I in May (hopefully!). But we're both from Iowa and that's where the wedding is. Plus I teach dance in Perkins about 20 hrs a week (with about 1 hr of prep time for each studio hr. I have a feeling it's going to be a stressful year! I'm pretty organized, so I think it will all be okay, but I'm worried about what will happen in Dec. when he starts looking for a job. We live together now and I want to keep teaching in Perkins for several years, but he has already been offered a job at Conoco Phillips in Bartlesville. I guess we have to wait and see!

Hey Glorilee,
I'm from Oklahoma City and I think there is a branch of OSU in Tulsa. I go to the OSU in oklahoma city and it is a good school. Not sure if there is much in Muskogee. Good luck with the move.
Love,
Jen

I am a student, so is he. I am a senior PR/AD major, he's a senior nuclear medicine major. He's in Houston, I'm in Tulsa. I just got back on saturday (yesterday), I'm an RA so I'm here early for training. We're getting married Oct. '07.

Its good to see that there are other student brides here. Does anyone find it hard with the schedual of school to eat correctly. I find myself eating a lot at night because I don't have time otherwise.

We're going for late January '08, but considering we won't get engaged until after he's back in the country for awhile...that's a bit under a year.

see, i thought that having a long engagement (2 years) would be easier, but my mother put it this way: it gives you more time to stress about things, then change your mind, and re-stress about things. Thus i've moved my date from september 08 to september 07. but i'm a stresser.

i find it really hard to balance things some time.. work, school, fiance, wedding, gym.. one thing always has to be sacrified.. unfortunately today it's the gym... damn essay!

Hi all! I'm new to SP and this is my first post! I am a full-time college student. I graduate in December with my BS in education, and then I'll start the Master's program in January. I'll be completely done in Dec. 2007. We're planning a May 2008 wedding, so that gives me plenty of time to enjoy the engagement before I go in planning overdrive. A May 2008 wedding also gives me plenty of time to get in shape and develop better eating/exercising habits. :)

Hi there!
I'm in that awkward stage where we know we're getting married but he hasn't actually popped the question yet.
But I've just finished college and am going on to pursue my Master's degree...
And I don't want to look like a whale in a wedding dress the way I'm so afraid I looked at my friend's wedding (see pic).

Hey! I'm kind of late to this post, but I am a student bride as well. I graduate in May of 07 and am getting married August of 07. I'm trying to get as much done for the wedding as I can before school starts back up, but I'm not having much luck.

Anyway, good luck to you all!

I graduate with my B.S. in May 2007 and we are getting married Jan. 12, 2008. I'm thinking about trying to start working on my M.A. in marriage and family therapy next fall, before the wedding. My fiance will still be an undergrad (he started two years later than me) for several more years. I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to take a year off before grad school or not.

Hi, I just got married and I finished school right before the wedding and my husband has one more year left. It is hard but doable. Start early and you will have no problem. Take one hour a week and get things organized or call venders... I got very organized. Oh, if you register at JC Penney, they give you a great wedding planning book (which I didn't find out until after I made my own). I also reccomend www.theknot.com for loads of advice if you haven't been there already.

Good luck!

I started planning while still in undergrad, and had the wedding 3 weeks after the completion of my first year of vet school. Now DH is starting law school, I'm still in vet school, so we'll both be in professional degree programs for another 3 years.

Hi Millie, my fiance and I moved in together this November, a few months after I started law school, we were dating all through college. We are getting married the summer after my second year is finished, so that will be so stressful while studying for exams and trying to focus. I think a daily thread would be great!

Hi everybody! I'm an undergrad who is getting married in October 2007, and looking to stay healthy while writing a thesis and keeping up with classes. I just moved in w/ my fiance, and things are going well, except we're trying to avoid takeout food every night! Just wondering if anyone wanted to start a daily group/thread.
