| I know a girl whose dress was too small (her wedding was last weekend) and she was able to let the seams out and it fit. So keep exercising and eating right and if all else fails, call a streamstress.

while the standard of 1-2 lbs per week is a healthy and reasonable goal, how that translates to inches is as unique as the individual.
My wedding is Sept 16th & I'm trying to focus on getting just 10 lbs off before the big day. 10 lbs in 10 weeks seems do-able.
While good foundation garments can do wonders for smothing "rough spots" and making things fit better, don't forget to avoid salty foods in the last few days prior to the wedding to avoid bloating. That water weight can make a big difference in how you feel too.

There's no "standard" as to how much weight someone will lose, however, if you're eating healthy and working out, you should definitely be able to lose some weight before the wedding. You said that you CAN zipper it, correct? In that case, its just losing some weight to make it fit better. If you follow the plan here, you should be able to do that. I've also found that good undergarments (like a corset or something spandex to suck you in) can make a tight dress fit a bit better.
Good luck! I wouldn't give up, I'd get motivated ;)

Saturday I picked up my bridesmaids dress from the bride. She ordered this dress without me being there and the dress is discontinued. I tried it on Monday evening and its too small! I can get it zipped and it's on but its super tight. The wedding is in September... Does anyone know possibly how many inches a person can lose if they're exercising regularly and watching what they eat? I just need rough estimates so I'll know whether to keep trying to fit in this dress or should I just call it quits?
