| My fiance and my song is "broken road" by rascal flatts, so my Uncle (who is a professional piano player) is going to play that song while I walk up the aisle

| What about Enya? We are actually getting married on Friday, but having our wedding and reception on our first anniversary because of finances this year. I think I'm going to go through my Enya CDs and peice together a CD to use for the ceremony. Her music is so beautiful and fits our Fairy theme perfectly.

Great ideas. I'm trying to convince my fiancee that I should start out coming down the isle with the traditional wedding march then midway have it mix into brickhouse, but he's not on board. He wants traditional and I want a little nutty. I like different. There is a Missy Elliot song with a great "The Princess is Here" line that I might get put in at the beginning. My soon to be brother-in-law is a DJ and I want him to mix something funky either for my walk down the isle or our entrance into the reception.
For our first dance we are going to waltz (not sure what song yet), then we are going to move into a cha-cha. I'm not sure that we'll do traditional dances like father-daughter mother-son, but we will have some fun activities. Our reception is only an hour, so we can't do a bunch of stuff!

We're having a string quartet for our ceremony! Processional- Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Romance Bridesmaids- Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring I'll walk down to Canon in D!! For our unity sand ceremony we will have Air on a G string and we will walk back down together to wedding march! Not sure yet for the recessional.

This is what I used for my wedding (i like to think we had different music):
Bridal Party Introductions to U2's, Beautiful Day.
Cake Cutting done to James Taylor's, How Sweet it is
Anniversary Dance done to Alan Jackson's Remember When. (We want the anniversary song to go quickly, my grandparents have been married for 63 years this upcoming fall, and they can't dance for long. Thanks)
No bridal party dance and the daughter/father and son/mother dance will be done together.
For Processional Music - Eine kleine Nachtmusik: Romance (Andante)[For sitting of parents/grandparents]; Through The Eyes Of Love - William Tritt [for bridesmaids walking down aisle]; Love Theme From Romeo And Juliet - William Tritt [for bride and father]
For Recessional Music: Spring - Susan Lautenbacher

| I'm getting married on SATURDAY!! =) The wedding party and I are walking down to Cannon in D. (The musicians are going to do a key change when I come in) and for the unity candle we're doing "Bind Us Together"-a classic hymn. For the recessional we decided to do something a little different, so we're doing "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You" by James Taylor. Something light hearted and fun like us.

I'm not getting married (yet), just anxiously awaiting the proposal! But...I think about my music all the time. I found a song by a singer named Dave Barnes that I want to use for my bridesmaids. It is called "Close Your Eyes". It's just him and the guitar and it's BEAUTIFUL. I have spent hours searching for this stuff so some of my other suggestions for out of the ordinary songs are:
Love me Tender - Norah Jones (which I want to use for when I walk down the aisle) You say it Best - Alison Krauss A Page is Turned - Bebo Norman (GREAT wedding song)
I hope that helps!

| if you like rock music you could use some rock instrumentals, like the slow part of Layla (which i am actually probably going to walking down the aisle to) or Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. Eric Johnson, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani are some rock guitar instrumentalists. hope this helped!!

| I am on the hunt for some DIFFERENT ceremony music. I don't really want the same songs that everyone else uses so I was wondering if any of you had found anything that you really liked that isn't used all the time? I am really talking about everything, bridesmaids walk, lighting of the candle (will have someone singing this one), etc.
