My laptop (which I use at work and home) has a bunch of vacation photos that flip every 15 minutes as the background. Seeing pictures from recent vacations - especially how bad my arms look in a tank top can help motivate me.

I said in another post - I'm totally addicted to sparkpoints. At the end of the day, I just look down the SparkPoints page and make sure I've gotten points for as many categories as possible. It doesn't keep me on track with calories, but it does keep me accountable to other good behaviors. In the other goals section, I've added "Take a multivitamin" to the spark suggestions. You could add other things to that list that help you stay on track.

Congrats on your 10 pound loss! That sure sounds like dedication to me! I don't know how much you take advantage of Spark resources but a couple of the things that I've run into to keep motivated is joining a points group. It's a great fun little competition between members. You could try the one called Gettin married. Also, if you go to the challenges community page you can find a challenge to join with other members. You might like the one called no jiggles by june. We are given a daily challenge and a star by our name when it's completed.

My motivation has been down this month also! I was sick for the first week and haven't gotten back on track yet. Today feels like a great day though! Good luck!

Hi Ashley! So motivation...I lost it for a little while- I was so excited about my 10 pound loss that I wasn't as good about my diet. My new motivation came at the end of last week...when I realized we have 6 months before our weddings (yay for Oct. 14th).

You will look at the pictures from your wedding for the REST of your life--whenever you need motivation, just think of that. Maybe I'm crazy...but I think of what my arms will look like in my strapless dress if they are still flabby...that makes me pick up my weights no matter how tired I am! Come on Ashley...we can do this!! I'm routing for you! You've already come so far...let's just go a bit further!

I was convinced that preparing for a wedding would be all the motivation I'd need, but now 8 weeks into sparkpeople, I have zero motivation!

I have lost a total of 10 pounds and have since regained 3. The inches are still falling off, so I think the 3 pound gain was muscle BUT STILL.

What do you all do for motivation when all you want is to have another snack or sit in front of the couch instead of going to work out??

Thanks!
