| I didn't have one by my best friend did. Her parents threw it. It was snacks and drinks. Everyone in the wedding party plus other close friends and family were there. It was really nice, espceially since she was planning to be engaged fro 1.5 years. My engagement is only 7 months so it seemed like a bit of overkill for us.

| We got engaged AT a party.... that probably doesn't count. I could use a partner too. If someone elses weightloss is a little more in my hands, I would feel a lot more guilty about not getting online every day!

| We're having an engagement party on April 22nd. My fiances friends parents are throwing it for us. I know it's going to be hawaiian themed and there are only going to be maybe 25 people there...i'll let you know how it goes.

Two questions here...
#1 Has anyone had an engagement party, what was it like, what did you do for it, etc?
#2 My life has been busy lately and I sort of fell off the face of the world of sparkpeople...which was not so good of a thing. I am looking for someone in my similar situation: getting married, looking to loose a total of around 50 lbs, maybe still in college, etc. to be accountable to or just to talk to etc.
