Both my fiance and I are using this site to try and lose weight. He's been on longer than I, I just started working out with him and found out about his SparkPeople secret. What we did about a month and a half ago was start something new; we played tennis. Neither of us knew how to play but there are these old, forgotten courts at a near-by park, so we thought we'd try. It's great because as we are starting from scratch we are able to see both improvements in our physiques and abilities. So even when we don't see results on the scale; we know we are doing something good for ourselves.

Just wanted to remind everyone that it does take time. I know when I started, I was getting frusterated when the pounds were not coming off. I started off my weight loss goal by cutting out the soda. (I love coca-cola)Went to the diet cherry van. Dr. P just to cover up the diet taste. Now I am drinking only water. It was hard, but now, the taste of Coke is too sweet and I don't crave it any more.

My best friend G, started teaching ZUMBA classes and it is so fun and always different that you don't even realize you are exercising.

Got back into playing soccer and it too is a blast.

I only have 23 1/2 more days till my wedding and I am right on target.

Just remember to keep at it. Find someone to talk to about your goals and if you want a candy bar, eat it. We work so hard everday, that our bodies, minds and spirits need a pick me up sometime.

How long have you been eating the yougurts and exercising before loosing the weight?

Hi Ladies,

I'm drinking the carnation instant breakfast (low carb version) that's already in liquid form, then I do yogurt around 10:30 am and then salad for lunch...veggie burger and veggies for dinner...3 pounds off in 5 days and I'm not feeling hungry

Ha! I never knew this. I used to eat yogurt and fruit for breakfast, but I'm sure it wasn't low-fat, light, or anything like that!

thanks for the info.

also the green tea helps burn fat. we are supposed to drink 2 cups of 8oz per day. :)

Just wanted to chime in....I've also heard that yogurt helps with weight loss and wanted to know why, so I googled it. Here's a link for information:

You might have to copy and paste each line of the link seperately. Also, I know this is info about a specific kind of yogurt (stonyfield brand) but the basic info will get you the point. The highlights: calcium and protein help burn fat. Also, it enhances digestion. Happy weight loss to all! I'm heading to publix tomorrow to get some yogurt! :)

my doc always told me to eat at least 2 nonfat yogurts a day. Activia is nice but for me it's just too sweet. i stick to "normal" non-fat ones.

i'll be a bride in Nov 2006 and want to loose about 20 pounds or so though my fiance (with whom i've been living together for 4 yrs now) likes me the way I am bu I really want to surprise him as well :)

I agree I think yogurt is a nice breakfast..but Im not so sure about lunch! But I am going to try it and see..maybe after doing it I will see how it feels and it will work! :)

I think yogurt is an easy substitute for other breakfast foods! I am not sure I could only eat yogurt for lunch though, but I really do need to increase my calcium intake either way!

This is interesting, and definately worth trying! I just like to eat more than that....it seems so small! But I am willing to try it!

I WOULD SAY THAt i have been doing that for about a month and that i started seeing results not to long after i started i meen like it sounds crazy but each day i would weigh myself one week i was like a half a pound less a day but i mean i replaced like 2 meals with the yogart.

I have heard that calcium can help lose weight. How long have you been eating the yogurt and walking or running? How long before you saw results?

i eat like 2 or 3 yogarts a day and i usualy run or walk for like 20 min. i think it works because dairy products have something in them that help to burn fat.i dont really know somebody told me that so i tried it and its been woring for me!

They have a few flavors because it is fairly new I think. I really like the vanilla it is like a desert but its very good for you! The strawberry is good, but I recomend the vanilla! :)

I have been eatting the Activia yogurts and they also have really good results! You might mix it up and try those too!

i know this sounds crazy but i eat 2 or 3 dannon light-n-fit yogarts a day and walk or run for twenty minutes and i have lost 15 pounds so far!!!try it i swear it works
