Your dress sounds absolutely gorgeous. A friend of mine is getting married soon and she has a similar style (both hair and dress). She's going to put petite flower accents on the left side of her head and have gentle tendrils hang down. The rest is going to be piled up, and like you, no veil or tiara. Very pretty.

| My dress is pretty vintage/classic looking: v-neck with a tanktop strap. It's ivory with a darker ivory trim (I'm an earth-tone type person) My hair is naturally curly/wavy layered, the longest layer hits my shoulders. I want something pulled back but not all straightened and then curled again like many people do...I'm not doing a veil or tiara-I want to look more natural... So, we'll see. I have found some pictures, thank goodness. I found a hairdresser in the town my wedding is in, and he only charges $27 for up-dos, so I'm pretty psyched about that.

Hi Becky,
What kind of dress do you have? Do you usually wear your hair up or down? How long do you anticipate the wedding/reception will be? Will you be traveling immediately after the reception?
Here's what I'm doing...
I'm going to be a little untraditional and do my own hair (and make up) the big day. But prior to, I'm having consults to make sure I know what I'm doing. LOL
The plan is to get get blonde highlights to contrast with my dark hair in late April, and for the big day, I'll wear my hair down with the tiara as shown in the pic at your left. Everyone who knows me gives me a hard time about not wearing it up because when I wear it up, I style it as such that some of my wavy locks brush across my face and it looks pretty. But hey, they don't have to sit on a multi-hour plane trip to Italy immediately after a 6-hour wedding/reception.
Be happy, be comfortable on your big day.

im still trying to figure out what colour i want my hair :) pink and purple or purple and pink.. or red and pink. im thinking big poofy in your face updo but in a classic sort of way.
i've searched google images for updo and hair and have found some pretty things.

| How are you doing your hair on the big day? I really want an updo that looks natural-I have curly/wavy hair and I want to keep it that way (not straighten it out)...I think. Any suggestions/ideas? I've been scouring the net looking for pictures and I haven't quite found what I want.
