| I'm getting married in New Baltimore, MI and our color is purple. I chose purple because, for one, I like it plus it is the color for awareness for Lupus (been diagnosed since 1998).

| MELANIESTILES, my fiance and I chose colors that match the feeling of our Tuscan honeymoon. Our wedding is in 67 days. According to the "rule books", we should choose a pastel pink. Pink is pretty, but that's not us. So we're having rich reds, yellows, oranges, and purples.

| Hi Everyone! I'm fairly new here. I have been engaged for 3 weeks now and I have NO idea what I want my colors to be. We are getting married in August of 2007, so we've got a while to plan. There are so many beautiful combinations I just can't narrow it down!

| We are getting married next April and I am considering some shade of pink, tangerine, and lime/apple green right now. Its amazing to see all the fun combinations though.

| That sounds awesome! I love pink, but my fiance wouldn't go for it being the "theme" color =) I am using it as an accent though
| My colors are pale pink and white. I am going to carry pale pink roses and my girls are carrying white roses. I haven't got my dress yet, but one I like is white with pink embroidery and beading. My girls dresses are called pearl pink and the flower girls dress is white with a tulle skirt and a sash around the waist that is the same color as the bridesmaid dresses.
| My sister-in-law is getting married in May. My daughter is one of the five flower girls. She is wearing light yellow. The bridesmaids are wearing sage green. The flowers are going to be lavender. I just love reading about all of your beautiful plans.

I'm a June 3 wedding-new to SPARK as of this past week! I've been engaged for over a year-so the count down is getting more exciting! We're doing sage green, brown, and pink-the guys are all wearing brown suits, the bridesmaids are wearing sage, tea length dresses, and our flowers are ivory and pink, as my dress is ivory. For centerpieces, we have glass cake pedesals with little brown boxes stacked up with ribbons of green and pink around them. I'm getting so excited for the day to finally come!!!

| We are having a fall wedding as well. The colors we settled on are Wine (a very dark burgundy color) and champagne (kind of a goldish platinum color) they tie in well with the fall idea. For table decore we are just going to use freshly fallen leaves (free and pretty) and for the bridal flowers we are going with lighter fall colors not the wedding colors. We do not want our flowers blending into the bridesmaids dresses... so we are going with fall colors but we want it to contrast the dresses.

DJD008- Both of your color schemes sound gorgous! I would consider your location and time of year, as well as your dress - I think that will help you narrow it down. But, they both sound Great! - My wedding is Choc. Brown with Ivory accents and Red flowers- weddinggirl

| Black and white is always classy... I am sure the wedding will be beautiful. I suggest using flowers in a deep red color to really set off the black and white... but it really all depends on what season you are having your wedding and if you want to stick with seasonal colors. I do suggest, however, to choose one color scheme and stick with it. Just my opinion though!

Our colors were: Dark Purple, yellow, and red, white & dark blue. (Military wedding on flag day!)
I have participated in 3 bridal shows recently (as a vendor yes!). I personally thought the one florist who did all valentines colors was not thinkging straight. I always either do a themed table (not a nearby holiday!) or do all mixed arrangements and colors. I did reds and white, mixed pinks, yellows, greens, corals with oranges, peach and cream. I also make sure I do a wide variety of sizes and shapes.
My best friend getting married in June is doing all bright red and pale yellow. My friend who got married in August did all differnt shades of greens and white for the ceremony and then wnet very Tuscan for the reception. My friend getting married some other time this summer is using pale purple, and blues. My sister in law is using ocean colors.

Hey HOOCHIFYD (luv the name),
The colors you chose are beautiful. That fall leaves theme is cool, too.
I was pressured a surprising amount when chosing the flowers...folks advised me that pastel pinks and light yellows were better (because it's a spring wedding), but I pretty much said "to heck with that" and chose deep, rich colored flowers and berries (that includes mixing the gerbera daisies with the roses).
Point: You can have a wedding with fall colors in January. Do whatever your heart guides you to do. It won't lead you wrong. And if it does, you have the love and support of a good man on your big day.

| Sage green BM dresses with a gold sash and gold shoes flip flops maybe?), holding orange cala lillies. I'm carrying red roses because they're my all-time favorite! I know they're not very summery, but my florist gave me the best advice-- "it's your wedding, so who cares?!" The tables will be set with gold chargers and gold flatware, sage green napkins and orange cala lillies in the center with votive candles. I can't wait!!!

| I'm doing coral, which is turning out to be very difficult. I found bridesmaids dresses I love (that come in plus sizes!) but flowers are a problem... I'm thinking I might just go with white flowers.
| I'm going with shades of blue. Its my favorite color and all my brides maides look great in it as well. I think periwinkle will be th ecolor of choice for me!

Hmm, actually I've noticed wedding colors trending towards brown + bright (pink or orange or lime) for fall/winter weddings, and crisp brights for spring/summer weddings.
We're doing black, white, and chianti, but the red will be only in touches (flowers, mostly).

| The church in Michigan actually doesn't allow pew decorations, so we'll be getting by at the church with little to no flowers :) I'm actually considering not decorating with flowers at all, and using ribbon and other materials instead! I've never been a big flower fan, which is why I loved the "fall leaves" theme :)
| my Bridesmaids had all red roses, but, I don't think doing a cheaper flower would look the same and I am not entirely convinced that a gerber daisy would be any cheaper . . . if money is an issue you might make some of the flowers yourself . . . we did our pew decorations (in the picture below) and it wasn't that hard our fantastic florist ordered the flowers for us at cost and we picked them up the morning of, and arranged them in the vases. I am sure a simple bouquet of plain roses would not be that hard to construct yourself and would be beautiful!
I'm hoping to make our colors silver and a dark rose red... My bouqet will be simple with red roses and the bridesmaids will be in black with red flowers. Trying to decide if red roses will be too expensive for the bridesmaid bouquets, and if gerber daisies will match? Any opinions for other January colors?
I always wanted a fall wedding, and have fall flowers as the theme... with pretty reds, oranges, and yellows. It's my favorite time of year. But if I get engaged next week, I'm not sure rushing the wedding in the next 8 months would be feasible. It's pretty quick for me being in DC, and our wedding being (potentially) in Michigan!

OMG I am so nostalgic for my wedding now, . . . my colors were based off the of stained glass in the church I was married in . . . so there were actually more than 2 of them but bright red and delphinium blue were the dominant ones with orange and purple as secondary . . . it is easiest to explain in pictures though . . . this is what the flowers looked like http://groups.msn.com/WWWeddingParty2/laandjr.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=4545

We're breaking the seasonal color tradition. Spring colors are pretty, but since we're going to Italy, we'll have more muted Tuscan colors...cranberry, gold, and some black & white. The flowers will be rich with color--sunflowers, roses, calla lilies, gerber daisies, berries, etc.

I did not have any. I did not see any reason to pick out colors, since the ceremony was at 5. Perfect for Black Tie.
The hall was decorated in deep reds and golds, so I felt no need to change that. Went with crisp white linens, very classic.
I did not pick out bridesmaids dresses. My sister is 5'2" and 200+ pounds. My sister-in-law who stood up is 6'1" and rail-thin. There is no magic dress that fits both body types, so I asked them all to pick out a nice, black dress suitable for church.
Bouquets were local flowers that were in season for early June. Ended up with some lovely purples, silvers, white, and pale pinks. My bouquet was white roses with trailing ivy.
The pictures were lovely, and look very classic. Not like my mom's... very 70's Avocado Green. My MIL's - 70's Burnt Orange.

We're going with Ivory and Gold.
The whole theme of the wedding is gold and white/ivory butterflies because I absoulutely love them and have done since I was little.
They will be everywhere - on my invites, on the cake, in the flowers,in my hair, my jewellery. The favour boxes have them on and the favours are chocolate covered butterfly biscuits! The tables will be sprinkled with them and the display in the centre of the table will have butterflies in. My flowergirl even has some on her tights!! Literally they will be everywhere.
I'm butterfly obsessed!
My bridesmaids have very pale gold dresses and I have a diamond white / ivory dress. My h2b and his groomsmen have a gold cravat and diamond white / ivory waistcoat.
My flowers are white and yellow roses with gold butterflies and ivy!

Just curious what the popular colors are for weddings in your neck of the woods.
Our wedding is going to be indigo blue and silver. The bridesmaid are carrying bouquets of circus roses (yellow roses with burnt orange tips) and I have a cascading bouquet with white roses, and a couple of orange cally lillies.
However, the popular color at the bridal shows seems to be red and pink.
