| I am so in your shoes, sort of. My best friend is getting married in January, and I really am needing the lose the weight. I understand how you feel, and if you need someone to support you, I will. :D

| Tree~ know that we're here for you and will be here to support you. Can I recommend you maybe join in a team? I'm in a team Done Being The Fat Girl. We just started a Halloween Challenge. We have a different exercise every week. Many people have been about to loose weight through these challenges. There is a TON of support, accountability, and motivation. That would be my suggestion. Let me know if there is any other way I can help! Remember, we've all been there, and are all here for each other now!

| Thanks! I'm a new member (my sister referred me to the site), but I'm going to work hard for sure!!! I was a big kid, and when I was in college, I lost 75 pounds on Deal-A-Meal (yes, by Richard Simmons). I gained it all back and have fought with it ever since. I'm hoping SP will help with having motivational friends!

| You may not have to buy the "same" dress to get extra material for alterations, just a dress from the same company in the same color and fabric. I don't know how long you've been a member here at SP, but I've seen lots of people who "couldn't" lose weight reach their goals here. Stay strong, use all the features of SP, and you WILL lose weight! Use the dress as additional motivation. Good luck, you can do it!!

| I guess that's the problem is that all of the dresses are exactly the same. And they were on sale, too. 18 was the largest they came in. I'm wondering if I could find another one (since they are discontinued, this may be hard) and have the two sewn together. That may be an option. She did know I had been trying for years, and she also has a weight issue.

| hi! wow! i think it is a little unusual to not have measurements before picking out the final dress to know sizes, but, hindsight. do you know any good seamstresses? depending on the cut and color, there is a good chance they could match up the fabric to make alterations in the places you need changed. if not, is the dress returnable/refundable? i agree with steeler74386, that the dress wouldn't have to be exactly the same for it to look beautiful at the wedding. i've seen many weddings where the dresses are either different styles or different colors or both. some wedding parties are even given the choice to pick out whatever they want as long as the color is right. i'd start with possible alterations and go from there. be honest with your bff; if you are best friends, she will understand and should know what you have been through and are going through.

| hi there! ok when is your bff's wedding? hmm....are they all the same bm dress? well be honest w/her. tell her you know you are trying your dangest (stupid question does she know that you have been trying for the past fifteen years?) see if you can get something simuliar to what the other bms are wearing. if not get a style/size that suits you. ya i know its your bffs big day and its all about her. you want to be comfy in the dress. are they all one color? see if she is doing more than one color. there is no law saying tha tyou guys have to match. crud for mine my moh is waring a different color and style dress all together thanmy jr bm and my bms are wearing.

| One of my best friends has asked me to be a bridesmaid. In fact, she bought all the bridesmaid dress. Here's the catch...I'm a size 22 and been trying for 15 years to lose weight and haven't been able to due to some medical issues. She bought me a size 18 (which fits more like a 16 or less) because that was the largest size the dress she liked came in. What should I do if I can't fit? I've found a doctor that may be able to help me (endocrinologist), but if I can't lose about 7 inches everywhere, there is no way the dress will fit!
