true could always go and use a new dress...the one that i love it dont fit anymore its to big. (ya for me!) so maybe should go out and get a new dress....and just wear the other one if we ever go out to a new years eve party or xmas....hmmm maybe ill wear it for xmas eve i dont think i wore it then have to look at the pictures...thanks for your help!

I think a black dress for a wedding is very classy.
Vogue Magazine agrees with me. One of their 50 wedding Fashion Dont's. Is don't wear white to a wedding.
It is up to you though! I would use it as an excuse to buy a new dress!

Hi Steeler! I recently went to a wedding and a lot of ladies had black and white dresses for summer. They had black flowers or prints. That makes them NOT like the brides dress at all. Your dress sounds very pretty and very appropriate. Have fun at the wedding. Your wedding dress looks beautiful on you dear! Your attendants dresses are also very nice. Bella

It depends on how much white is in the dress, if it is more than 25% I would say no.
It is my opinion that only one person gets to shine and wear white on that day. Especially since she probably paid hundreds and even thousands of dollars for her gown.

I would ask your friend. I am working on my wedding, date TBD since we have to work through when I am leaving (I am in the Army). However, I did decide to go with a color for the brides maids and let them pick the dress, so they will get something they like and will wear again... but that's just me. Good luck!

Your dress you have sounds fine. Don't worry about CLASHING with the wedding party. Most weddings I have been to I do not know the colors of the bridesmaid dresses or the theme colors. There are never all the guests matching anything.Have fun and save your money for your wedding! Bella

ok my one buddy is getting married next sat. i think it is semi formal. (the guys she said can wear tan pants and dress shirt.). but what does the women wear? i have this dress its like halter dress with whit e black and like a royal/blue berry color. her color is aqua like a light blue. would i clash wihth the wedding party? or should i just go for a new dress all togeth like a lil black dress number?
