Well, it's set! Woo hoo! Now I can actually start the planning. Haha. He won't be wearing his dress uniforms (no matter how much I beg) because he's Navy and he doesn't like the dress uniform. But I do! He's former Army and I loved the Army dress uniform -- and I think he would have worn that -- but he really doesn't like the Navy's. Oh well.

That's really exciting! Good luck and I hope you get your date! I think black/white are sooo classic as colors and bringing in a spring green color for March is a great idea. Is he wearing a dress uniform? If he has just graduated he will have one, right? Man, I love it when military guys wear dress uniforms. That's my 2 cents. Congratulations!!

My fiancee is in the military and for the last few months we've been in limbo trying to choose a date because his training schedule isn't definite (plus there is the possibility of injury, etc.) I had my heart set on a Fall 2009 date, but the more we talked, the more it seemed realistic (and a whole lot easier) to plan a date near the time he graduates from the first phase of his training (in early March). So, last night, we talked it over and picked a date (March 14!!!!) that would give him time to fly home, and spend time after the wedding at home (possible honeymoon?? we didn't even think we'd get one!!) and I am over the moon excited. He is talking to instructors today to find out how realistic this is, and then I'll start talking it over with my parents and wedding party -- but I am so excited! This has changed everything, though. Originally, I had pulled lots of Fall color samples and was envisining a Fall-theme for favors, etc., but now I think I am going black/white with green trimmings. Ohhhhh, I am so excited!! Had to share it with someone. =)
