I am glad that everything worked out for you in the end. Too bad your friends won't be there for you on your big day, but it sounds like you will have plenty of loving support anyway. Good luck!

Thank goodness you have an ample supply of sisters!

I'm sure that we are going to have a smaller turnout than we originally expected because people have to travel to our wedding and times are tough. Don't feel bad about it, I'm sure it's nothing personal.

So another one of my bridesmaids told me that she can't afford to make it up here. I offered her the same thing I offered my other friend, and they both turned that down. They didn't want to have me spending so much money on their account. Ok, so what to do now? Well, I called my sister Kari back and told her that she was definitely in, and then I called my sister Heather and asked her. Thankfully, she said yes, and all is well now!

I just emailed my bridesmaid and am now waiting for her response. After talking to my younger brother, I decided that if she can't do it, then I'll have one of my older sister's step into her role.

That sounds like a good plan.

So my bridesmaid called me yesterday to tell me that she can't be in the wedding anymore because she got a job that makes her work weekends, and her parents told her that if she does come for the wedding, they will not give her money to do so. I was so stunned that I couldn't even form a complete sentence. She's supposed to be one of my closest friends! I understand that she doesn't have much money, but geez! I talked to my fiance, and he agreed that we should offer to pay her way, let her stay with us, and eat w/ us to save her money. The only thing she would be purchasing would be the dress for $113. Does that sound like a good plan or should I just find another bridesmaid?
