| I've been thinking of this for almost a year...and now that the wedding is near I guess I should actually get it! I decided to get him a flying lesson, there is a flying club near our home and for $75 (I couldn't believe how cheap!) you get an afternoon lesson and an hour flight where you get to take the controls while flying to the mountains. I think its something that will create memories for a lifetime and will mean more to him than a material item :)

I think if he's getting you a gift you should give him one too. If you can both agree on a price range for the gifts that might give you a better idea. I like the idea of the xm radio since I don't know very many guys who don't love gadgetry. You know him best and I think as you turn it over in your mind the ideal gift will come to you.

| I gave my guy a $200 gift card to the Home Depot so he can buy his Sawzall. He was ecstatic!

| I need some help on this one too. I was thinking about this the other day. My fiance is so hard to buy for. I have a hard time every time I have to get him a gift. His mom said just have his ring be his gift, but I don't think so. He's an artist, so I might go that route. I just don't know. Maybe some hockey tickets... really good hockey tickets. We'll see, I guess.

| I think it has to be a personal thing, you could get him a mix of things, like the box sets, the xm radio (but remember youd have to get the monthly subscription to which is I think 13.00 a month), maybe like an hour long massage on your wedding night, and tell him its part of his gift?? Im not sure, but Im sure he will be happy with whatever you decide to do.

| My guy loves the Mets so I am getting him cuff-links made from the Mets stadium seats to wear to our wedding. I want to come up with something else that is just for fun though.

I know that this is going to sound a bit snarky, but at this point the *wedding* is going to be my gift. We're not getting married in a church, so everything -- *everything* is up to "us" to plan. I suspect you can guess why I've put the "us" in quotation marks.
Seriously, though ... what does your fiance really, really enjoy? Don't think about what's popular, or what other people give as gifts -- think about *him*. What would he like, or what would be meaningful to him in 10 years?
Finally, taking a step back, do you really need to give a gift? Aren't you already giving him the biggest gift you could -- the promise to share your life with him, along with whatever else you're including in your vows? Compared to that -- to me at least -- any physical gift seems almost frivolous.

As long as it comes from the heart it really won't matter!!! Look around and whatever sparks you... get it. I'm big on buying books. For any occasion I go to book stores and look for discounted books that say what I want to say versus buying cards.
I can typically find a book for $10 or less (gotten some for $1) that are PERFECT for any occasion.
While I was shopping for books for my mom and sisters for mother's day I came across two touching books. One intended for a soulmate the other intended for the one I love. I had to buy them both. I haven't decided which goes with his birthday gift and which goes with the wedding gift but I haven't had a chance to "really" read them. They are awesome stories/poems/quotes etc that revolve around true love and lasting relationships.
