'In the arvo (afternoon) last Chrissy(Christmas) the relos(relatives) rocked up for a barbie (BBQ), some bevvies(drinks) and a few snags(sausages). After a bit of a Bex(headache tablet) and a lie down we opened the pressies(gifts), scoffed(ate quickly) all the chockies(chocolates), bickies(biscuits/ cookies) and lollies(sweets). Then we drained a few tinnies(cans of beer) and Mum did her block(got upset) after Dad and Steve had a barney (disagreement) and a bit of biffo (physical fight).'
