MISSPAM1 that's really good advice. I struggle every day. This is the beginning of my second week and I did really well so far (except yesterday). I'm trying so hard to stay motivated, and it helps a lot when I keep everything simple. My main meals consist of Pkgd foods like Smart One's and Healthy Choice with a side salad. This keeps me from cooking too much, and then nibbling on the left overs. I have lost 5 pounds and am excited about keeping this up. I have a long way to go, but it feels good to feel good.

Have a nice day all!

Keeping it simple is a good way to do it. Change 1 little thing at a time and then, when you have it mastered, add something else. Good advise ladies!

I struggle with a balance between paying enough attention to improving my eating -- without becoming obsessed so that it is always on my mind. It helps to keep it simple.

I was where you are last July. This is what got me moving, I stopped dieting, crazy I know. I just decided to eat better food and to pay attention to serving size. So if I wanted bacon and eggs for breakfast I had 1 egg and 2 pieces of bacon. I stopped eating anything that was fat free. If I wanted a cookie, I had 1 real cookie. If I went out to dinner and over ate something, I just ignored it and quit agonizing about it. I felt a lot less hungry and I was a LOT more satisfied. I absolutly hate exercise, but I know without it I am sunk. So for me I do it as soon as I get up in the morning to get it over with. I work 9 to 5. I do 30 to 50 minutes on the treadmill 6 days a week. I Tivo my favorite shows and watch them, it makes it so much easier. In one month I dropped 10 pounds. My problem now is I am stuck and I too should be between 130 and 135. I quit smoking as well and do not want to go back up! However I will say I feel 100% better in terms of energy and I know I have lost a lot of inches by the way my clothes feel.

Motivation is a tough one for me as well. I did pick something out in your post though that I know is me right now too. If you are tired when you get home, force yourself to do some exercise. Find something you like, like dancing, aerobics, anything that you can stick with for at least 15 minutes and do it! If you can do this 3 to 5 times a week, you will slowly get more energy and not feel so tired when you get home. If you have a couple of breaks at work, walk either outside for 15 minutes or inside around your floor if at all possible. Exercise for me is the key to not feeling so tired and sluggish. Small changes at first will motivate you to do more as you go along. You can do it! Just keep telling yourself that and KNOW that YOU ARE WORTH IT. It is hard at first but feels so good when you get into the habbit. Baby steps at first!

Good luck.

I am sick of my weight and all my clothes getting too small. I need help getting motivated to loose the weight. I now weigh 170 and my weight should be 137. I get depressed trying to figure out what I am doing to gain so much weight. I work at a 7to3 job and am so tired when I get home, all I want to do is lay on the sofa and rest. Any Advice out there?
