Hi and welcome to SparkPeople. It's a great website that offers lots of supports. My favorites are the nutrition and fitness trackers. I use them everyday to help me monitor how many calories I'm eating and burning so that I can stay within my weight loss range. The articles and videos will help educate you so that you can take control over your health. Join one or more teams; these are where we get and give support. There are lots of teams to choose from or you can create your own. Feel free to send me a Spark Mail if you have any questions. Peace and grace. Meychey

Welcome YAMECITA ...Sounds like you are off to a great start! I envy you having a trainer. I live too far from anywhere to do that, but feel that SparkPeople is going to be a real help for me there. I am inspired by all the wonderful stories. The best of luck to you and hope to hear more of you. Where in Alaska do you live?

| Hello. I joined this weekend. I am 53 (54 May 1) and my goal is to lose 30 pounds by the end of this year. I started a fitness program at my local Y 4 weeks ago. Let me tell you, I could only do 4 minutes on the elliptical when I started, and that made me dizzy! So you can imagine how far I have to go. I am now up to ten minutes, I work with a trainer 2x a week for a half hour and I take an aqua aerobics class 2x a week as well. One step at a time. I hope I can make a positive and supportive contribution to the group.
