My neighbor lady had breast cancer and had the problem after surgery. I asked her about it and she laughed and said "Oh, Honey, I'm thankful to still be alive and have another good arm." The arm was discolored and looked painful, but she never talked about it, other than the one time I asked her. Miss Louise was a nice lady, who passed away last year from heart disease. She did tell me that she sure wished she'd lost weight and exercised a lot more, as she had a desk job for forty years.

The first place I would advise you to check is with your doctor. Have you checked the Resource Center on here? Also, you might want to check out www.webmd.com . And lastly, try typing in the type of cancer in google. I can guarantee that should bring up all kinds of websites for you to peruse.
I wish you luck and will keep you in my prayers.

I had cancer 7 years ago and am battling the problem of lyphodema in my left arm. Actually I have had lyphodemea for several years on my left leg but never really found the cause of it. I did not have the problem with the left arm till after I had breast cancer. Any help would be great! Thanks Dizzyd4
