Hi, I turn 55 in July. I don't know why I have waited so long before being so determined to get this weight off. I guess I just wasn't ready in the past. Believe me, have I ever yo-yo dieted in the past. It sure is true the more you lose the more you gain if you don't stick with it. I am wanting to get healthier also. I feel as if I lose the weight, I will fill like a YOUNG 55 in July.

I am feeling better and better about myself everyday. Sometimes I don't believe I am actually 55. I can't possibly be that old can I.

Seriously, I find the nutrition and fitness trackers quite helpful in keeping me on track. I really like how I can set it up to track my fiber intake as well as fat, carbs and protein. I also like how it breaks down your percentages in a pie chart each day for your fat, proteins and carbs.

I also like how I can get on the computer at night and post and read articles and forget about snacking.

I think SparkPeople really helps motivate.

i love being 55 most of the time! just not when poll-takers call me and ask my opinion..if i'm between 18 and 49!!!!!! WTF?????

Hi Debbie, I am also 55 and i think i am loving it.?!
I just joined sparks people and i have never joined any chat groups so i'm not sure what i am doing.
I have been FAITHFULLY watching my caloric intake (with diet power) and exercising at least 6 days a week. I have stopped drinking diet soda (for about 3 weeks). I began diet power 3 weeks ago and i have only lost 2 1/2 lbs. I lost 4 1/2 and gained back 2 last week. does anyone know what gives with this.

This is a great website that offers lots of supports. My favorites are the nutrition and fitness trackers. I use them everyday to help me monitor how many calories I'm eating and burning so that I can stay within my weight loss range. The articles and videos will help educate you so that you can take control over your health. Join one or more teams; these are where we get and give support. There are lots of teams to choose from or you can create your own. Feel free to send me a Spark Mail if you have any questions.

I am 55, I am new to this so I need some buddys to keep me on track. I want to lose 30 lbs. anyone have any good tips?
