Hi, My name is Mickey and I've been on SP for a couple weeks now and so for it is working to keep up my motivation. I'm from Kissimmee, FL, and it's good to see so many people using this site. and i am very new, i am trying to get reid of about 10 pounds but there are so much to read, i am confused where to start,i do track my food the calories and my exercise and i think that is good, let me know if there is some thing different i should do looking to hear from you soon thanks, Olive2468,

| Hello to everyone from Tallahassee! I've been an off-and-on member of SP for about 2 years, but active now for a few months. It really does pay to track your food, and I'm finding that tracking other goals really helps keep me accountable. There are lots of good friends here -- don't be shy, join some teams!

Hi i am from west palm beach its good to see alot of people from florida, i am new to the board also lot of reading to do and lots of challange which i love to do i walk every day and i keep a log of my steps,
and also keep a log of the calories that i burn every day,also what i eat it sound like i am crazy

| Hi Fran. I joined last week. I still don't know how to log miles walked or exercise! When I go to the page-it seems like it has a preplanned program! I do my own- 4 miles daily(broken up-some outside, treadmill, and Leslie videos) I enjoy the message boards, it's nice to share information. I live in Okeechobee-I have been to Lake Placid. We ahve only been here 2 years. Good luck!! Donna

Welcome to the Floridians. I'm from Pennsylvania, about 12 miles southwest of Philadelphia and not far from the Delaware border. I joined sp a few weeks ago but am just now trying to really get into and respond to the message board. I have just lost 4.5 lbs. and have another 35 to lose. I want to take it slow and steady. Maybe then it will stay away from me.

| Welcome 2 u 2 lol I love sparks, even when I have a rotten day I know that no one is going to say hey you screwed up ... it's always well dust your breeches off and give it another try !!! It's confusing at first but just take one day at a time and get used to all of the information... it can be a little overwhelming.. Enjoy

I'm in Saint Petersburg. This is about the third time I've tried Spark People, mainly for the Nutrition Tracker. I find the message boards confusing, too. They are not like those on other sites I've visited. But I like the nutrition and fitness trackers.
This time I'm determined!

| Ninermine - you are not alone. Every time I log in I seem lost. I know this is not where I was last night but I can't seem to find that place. I've been overweight for such a long time. I've tried so many times with weight watchers and had a lot of success at least once. I hit a plateau , got disgusted and then put the weight back on. My friend at work joined sp and is doing great. I hope it will do the same for me. I'm now off to the gym. Have a happy day!

| Well I wish I was in Florida I still have 5 feet high snowdrifts on my front lawn. It is warming up this weekend so lets see if it will melt some for me. Ninemine it is the best place to be and many motivating and inspiring stories. I have 100 lbs. to lose and I am on my way I have lost 13 lbs. in my first month and I believe the Nutrition Tracker is the main reason. I have been on here for over a month and still find so much to learn there is an over abundance of information on almost any health subject. Just take the time and you will do it with the friendly people on sparkpeople.

Welcome to the site. There IS a lot on the site but you can use the Nutrition Tracker every day while you figure out everything else. You will also find many friends.
