Hi Carolyn,
Welcome to SparkPeople. If you have been given the OK to exercise, then let's go. Have they recommended what you should do to get started? It really is important to get moving. I know you can do it.

HI...My name is Carolyn. I am married to a wonderful man for 38 years. We have 3 sons and daughter in laws. We have been blessed with 6 (gonna be 7 in May) wonderful grandchildren. We have a golden retriever named Sam who is absolutely my husbands best friend and they go EVERYWHERE together. We also have 2 cats and I am getting a new teacup poodle for my birthday. My weight has been a problem my whole life and I have lost and gained so much weight it is unbelievable. At present my MAIN goal is to get off my duff and exercise. I have been sitting for over a year since a crushed knee. I was on the couch unable to even go to the bathroom (potty chair and a WONDERFUL husband) for 2 months and another 3 in a hoveround. When I was able to get up, it was just a habit to sit in this chair with my laptop in my lap. I have such wonderful intentions everyday but just SIT. I am looking for help but also I have been reading your posts and think you guys are serious and helpful and lots of fun. Hope you don't mind if I join you. I will try not to whine all the time.
