Good morning everyone..I have a question for you.. What if you don't agree with the calories count?? The packages state more or less than the nutrition tracker. Is there a way to adjust them?? I'm still feeling my way thru this..Thanks for any help..

Hi everyone, Looks like we got stagnant here. Hope everyone is ok and doing well. Katheann I do not know where your son lives, it took me forever to learn my way around here.:) I have only been here for 10 years.:) I hope you threw the candy away like SM mentioned. Anytime there is anything in this house that I really love, I can not stay away from it. I quit drinking, smoking years ago and I find the food the hardest to control. Not being able to exercise like I used to really puts a thorn in my side when it comes to losing weight. I was very thin and active most of my life until a few years ago. I gained about 10 pounds a year with the medications and lack of exercise. So, here I am still trying to get some of this fat off. Hope to hear how you all are doing. Hugs Susan

Hi Katheann, I'm assuming you mean how to change your weight on your own personal report and your measurements also. Here's how: Go to "Start" on the line on SparkPeople (once you sign in) Then scroll down to "my tools" under that scroll down to "weigh in" and there you can record your new weight and measurements.
Hope it works for you! Hugs!

| OK I got rid of the chocolate. I cannot figure out how to enter my weight and measurements. Is there a place to go to learn?? Actually, I'm doing better than I thought. Thanks

Throw that chocolate stuff out, Katheann--or give them to a friend, grandkids, anyone! Just get rid of them. That would be the worst thing you could do for yourself is think of eating even ONE of them.
Remember, you've been doing so good. Don't let something like that lead you astray.

Hi Gals.....glad to see that you're all doing great! I was just talking to someone last night that used to live in Palm Desert - and I have a sister who lives in Marysville, WA - just the other side of Seattle. She won't come to AZ because she has five daughters and most of them live in the Seattle area, plus one in Portland. They are always doing fun things with her.
Me, I have to drove for 4-1/2 hours to see my only daughter in Las Vegas. Oh well, that's how it goes.
Had a doctor appointment this morning to see about contact lens, so guess I'd better be getting something done around the house. It's quite nice out right now, figure I'm fortunate I don't live where there is 6-feet of snow. lol
Have a wonderful week-end.

Good morning Susan..I live in Yucca Valley which is 30 miles from Palm Springs. In the summer I stay at my Sons in Maple Valley, WA. Do you know where that is?? I'm still trying to get the hang of this program. I am waiting to weigh myself again on Sunday. I live alone so I am able to eat my way. Thanks for the reply. Have a great day. Katheann

Hi Eve, Sorry for the confusion. We have 9 but the oldest is off at college and we have not seen her forever. The rest are at home. My SS card is my social security card. It felt strange getting it. Now I get to update my military card and the other issues that go along with the military. It has been cold here for us. In the teens in the morning but the sun is so beautiful during the day and a high of 40. Sunday it is going to snow again. That is never a big deal, you can usually sweep it away.LOL Well, time for news, have a good night everyone. Susan

I qualify. I am 57 and have been retired since I was 50 years young. I was in retail management for over 20 years. I still hate to shop at Christmas and fight the crowds. I just finished my shopping for next year all except the gift cards for the teens. I just joined a group of ladies over fifty for stretching and aerobics twice a week, we have so much fun shaking our bootee to the oldies.

Hi Susan -- and welcome to our team of retired seniors. Hopefully fit and healthy....at least that's our aim, is it not?
I noticed on your spark page that you say you are the grandmother of 8, but now in this post you mention that your daughter has 9, so I'll bet she just had another, right?
I guess after being a military wife you are both glad to be retired. I didn't quite understand your remark about receiving your SS card just now -- but I'll bet you don't mean your CARD, you probably mean your first SS benefit, for being retired. Correct me if I assumed wrong.
So happy to have you with us!

Good morning Scottmama, I read the posts of some of the over 60 group and felt really bad that I gave up the job force at age 53. I have been really happy retired! I worked at Childrens Hospital for 20 years and by the time they were really getting into the computer age I was ready to leave. I love the computer for e-mail and information,my DH is the computer king.:) My name is Susan,I joined SP when they first started.I am just now coming back. My biggest problem is finding my member boards. I think I am getting it down now.We live in NW WA state,we have 1 daughter that has blessed us with 9 GK.The oldest is 27 the youngest is 4 going on 27.:) They live 30 min. away from us. It is a joy to go over and see them and be able to leave after a few hours.:)Thank you for starting this board.I hope more people come to join. I just got my SS card in the mail, not sure if I should cry or celebrate.:)My DH is a retired USMC so our insurance is pretty good.We are so lucky. Have a great day.Susan

Do we have any retired seniors out there (actually anyone over 50 is OK). I've started a team by that name and would love to have some more members so we can chat and find out how everyone is doing.
You can find me under Spark Teams. Check us out. Scotmama
